Description

The Trees is a comfortable, well presented, single-storey annex, which is attached to the owners’ home yet it is self contained and enjoys lovely views over the pretty gardens. This cosy holiday home makes an ideal base for exploring this delightful part of Dorset. Located next to the local church, it is only 5 minutes’ walk to the local pubs, restaurants and village shop. Nearby Moors Valley provides excellent walking and wildlife spotting, as well as recreational activities such as golf, ‘Go-Ape’, biking, fishing, orienteering, canoeing, petanque and segway rides. Avon Heath is also close by, ideal for keen amblers. The New Forest National Park provides miles of scenic walks and a network of bridle paths and footpaths. You can often find the ponies and cattle roaming the streets in one of the many picturesque villages.

There is a water park near to the charming town of Fordingbridge, which has a host of shops, cafes and eateries, and the gentle flowing River Avon is also nearby. Nearby Ringwood also has a good selection of shops and restaurants. Also convenient for road links to the cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury, Christchurch Harbour and the coast, including Poole and Bournemouth. Other attractions include Marwell Zoo, Beaulieu Motor Museum, New Forest Otter and Owl Park, Stonehenge, maritime Southampton and various other tourist attractions are within easy driving distance The nearest shop as 500 yards and pub and restaurant 300 yards.

Response from the owner This is correct we had a massive storm that knocked down two thirds of the fences. The subsequent month that followed, rained for about 27 of the 30 days in it. The soil structure is very sandy and if this type of weather continues then this problem will keep on happening. To solve it we have had to plant a hedge, the roots will then bind the soil and stop the erosion. The change in the climate is beyond my control, it does now rain heavier than it did and every year we seem to break the hottest day records, however, the pictures however, are not beyond my control and they have been removed. Sorry that the changing world eco system and forgetting to amend the photos spoilt your stay

Everything was superb. Our hosts were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Didn't need to use our car because bus stops just outside the property.
