Description

The Bears Barn is a one bedroom cottage for two adults, on the ground floor is a large lounge and kitchen-diner, up the internal staircase one bedroom and bathroom (electric shower over the bath). The barn also has a Private Car Park. We provide TV with FreeSat, DVDs, books including walking/visitor guides and WiFi. For your comfort the property is fully double glazed, heating by a multi-fuel stove and overnight storage heaters. Storage for two bicycles in the exterior under-stairs cupboard.

We have run Bears Barn as a 'home from home' cottage for over 20 years and have welcomed back many of the same customers each year.

Price you pay includes utilities, all bedding (duvet) and towels.

Please note we don't take animals.

Hartington is a thriving village with two general stores, two cafes, farm shop incorporating a cafe, famous Cheese Shop, gift shop, post office, garage, The Charles Cotton, Devonshire Arms and British Legion pubs. All a short amble away.

For the active visitor there is walking and cycling from the door, starting point for Beresford & Wolfscote Dale walks are across the road. Tissington, High Peak and Manifold Cycle trails are a cycle away.

Tourist attractions include market towns, stately homes, potteries, steam railways, tramway museum and World Heritage sites. The High Peak area is 40mins drive away, visit caverns, go gliding, walk, visit Castleton and so much more. As well as lots of good food and drink.

Hartington is in a valley, mobile phone coverage is provided via an O2 micro-cell, you can make phone calls if you are on the O2 or Tesco Mobile networks, you won't get internet access via your mobile phone. We do provide a mobile for incoming calls.

Hartington is served by local buses, the bus stop is in the centre of the village a short walk from the barn. The nearest train stations are Buxton and Cromford.

How do damage deposits work?

If Linda (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
