“We will be returning”
A wonderful few days stay at Cow Cottage, for a family of 2 adults and two teenagers. Zoe and Ian were so welcoming, (the homemade cakes and refreshing teas a very big bonus after a 4 hour journey!), … More

“Good for price”
Good points: * hosts very friendly and welcoming * good location for visiting lots of nearby towns and tourist attractions * very reasonably priced * house very well appointed with lots of things provided * mostly quiet and calm * nice open fire and logs provided Bad Points: * no carpets, some rugs but otherwise very sharp coconut matting which is painful underfoot - bring slippers or suffer! * better for a couple, sleeps up to four but not really enough furniture for four people. * heating controlled by owners from their property next door. You have to request heating and was very cold when we first arrived but much warmer on the second day. * very dated and cluttered, clean on surface but very dirty under furniture and skirting boards black with dust. Didn’t really bother me but spending a bit of money on updating would benefit owners as they could charge more money. * if you’re a light sleeper a local cockerel (not owners’) will have you up well before daybreak. 4.30am, 5am etc! Overall it was ok for a short stay. I would recommend for a couple on a budget.
