Description

Welcome to our beautiful apartment located right in the heart of the charming old town of Cowes. The flat is situated just moments from the sea and famous yacht haven. Bright and spacious with high ceilings, the apartment has been kitted-out to a very high standard with everything from luxurious Egyptian cotton bedding to stunning contemporary and vintage furniture and décor.

This is the perfect pied-à-terre for sailors, or just a great place for landlubbers to soak up the atmosphere of Cowes, and watch the world go by.

The apartment comprises 1 double bedroom, 1 single room with a 2 bunk beds, an open plan living room / kitchen / diner, a bathroom and a separate WC.

The apartment is located on the first floor, overlooking the High Street in the town centre, 1 minute walk from the Red Jet passenger ferry terminal, so there is no need to bring your car.

The apartment can sleep up to 2 in the double room, and up to 2 in bunk beds in the single room.

Response from the owner Hi Richard, greetings from Cowes. Thank you for your feedback. Without it we cannot improve/maintain the level of service. 42A is first and foremost our own holiday home. We feel extremely fortunate to have this very special corner of the world, and love sharing it with our guests, most of whom leave saying that they had a perfect stay, and leave 5 star reviews. I'm sorry on this occasion that not everything was perfect. We don't live locally, and yes, we do rely on a local housekeeper service, and yes, that means that despite our best efforts things occasionally get missed. I think during your stay, the sheets you slept in must have not been the ones we provide. I will investigate further. Sorry if they were rough. The ones we provide are not. Sincere apologies for the lack of tea towels. It is frustrating as we do provide these things, and instruct them to be left for guests, but like I say, occasionally things do get missed. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think the housekeeper did drop some off for you during your stay. Regarding parking, 42a is a town centre apartment, and the parking situation is not perfect, but is practical enough given the circumstances. Yours is the first complaint of this nature that we have received in 3 years. Regarding the apartment being tired, we do agree that it is in need of some TLC. We have had a very busy year, even during the winter months, with very little opportunity to get in and make good some things which require attention. For winter 2016 I am pleased to report that we are closing our doors for a few weeks in order to overhaul the bathroom, and give a good freshen up throughout. We truly are committed to providing our guests with an exceptional place to stay, so sorry once again that on this occasion you feel that it was not up to the standard that we expect.
