Description
This mid-terrace cottage is located in the village of Clun and can sleep three people in two bedrooms.Castle Cottage is a mid-terrace cottage in the lovely Shropshire village of Clun. The cottage sleeps three people and has a double bedroom, a single room and a bathroom. It also has a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. Outside is roadside parking and a small patio with outdoor furniture. Clun is a historic border village with a castle and river and Castle Cottage is an ideal holiday property for discovering the local area.
Amenities: Oil central heating from Stanley range with woodburning stove. Range cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Roadside parking on first come, first served basis. Patio with furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 2 mins walk. Note: There are a number of internal steps, steep winding cottage stairs and low head height throughout, care to be taken. Note: Dogs to be kept downstairs.
Region: A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.
Town: Clun is situated in the South Shropshire Hills in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty close to the border of Wales. The Clun and Kerry Forests, Offa's Dyke and Kerry Ridgeway are all close by.
