Relax and soak in the peace and quiet in this idyllic little gem of a property which is self-contained with its own private entrance, roomy modern bathroom with underfloor heating, fully equipped kitchen and bedroom/sitting room area with beautiful views up the Chedworth Valley. A perfect central location for exploring the Cotswolds. Breakfast with home-made bread included for you to prepare and eat at your leisure.

Our nearest railway stations are Kemble and Kingham. Our nearest airports are Bristol, Birmingham and Heathrow.

Interaction with guest

We live adjacent to the property and so are on hand to answer questions. We are very flexible over check-in and check-out times and will accommodate requests where ever possible. There is a key safe which allows you to access the property even if you wish to arrive at a time when we are out. We always catch up with guests whenever we get back to check you have everything you need.

“Beautiful setting, great accommodation.”

We stayed at Shrove Cottage for a weekend. The property is excellent, such attention to detail from Ros, and so much information on local amenities. Very clean and everything we needed plus more. The setting is beautiful, many walks on the doorstep including one to the Roman Villa National Trust site which we went to and enjoyed. 3 great pubs for food and drink in walking distance. Highly recommended.

“A perfect stopover”

We stayed just the one night on one of the hottest days of the summer so, after a very warm welcome from our host, we went straight for the pool. What a treat to have this all to ourselves! It’s pretty small but does the job and the next day I could feel the effects of swimming. Shrove Cottage itself is beautifully set up with great attention to detail. We were left freshly baked bread (still warm on arrival!), home made jam and chilled juice and water. We just loved it and will return. :-)

“Anniversary Stay”

We stayed for one night as a short break away for our anniversary. Shrove Cottage is very cosy, we loved it. My husband took a dip in the pool and we sat and enjoyed some bubbles on the small patio area. We walked to one of the local pubs, The Seven Tuns, recommended by Ros, the food there was delicious. The home baked bread for breakfast in the morning was lovely and we enjoyed it sat at the table and chairs, looking up the valley. Would definitely recommended staying here and would love to return for longer next time.

How do damage deposits work?
