We haven't had any escapee's yet!

A sleepy, totally relaxed English village with a warm welcome to its visitors, everyone seems happy & relaxed with all the time in the world to chat about anything you want to talk about. The village has some of the best restaurants, Beaches and entertainment in the area, The Perfect place to enjoy a nice summer holiday or a Winter shortbreak.

The quaint little village of Chapel St Leonards is situated on the Lincolnshire coast, seven miles from the popular resort of Skegness. The village centre is bursting with traditional shops, local family pubs and a variety of restaurants and cafes. The beautiful long sandy beaches and sand dunes are the perfect place to relax, with brightly painted beach huts adding to the appeal of this charming village. Chapel St Leonards boasts a good leisure centre, where families can hire motorboats, quad bikes, play crazy golf or simply go fishing. Each year there is the Chapel Carnival Parade, which includes an array of creative floats and activities on the Village Green, complete with a fireworks display on the promenade. Fantasy Island Theme Park in Ingoldmells is just three miles away, and the vibrant larger resorts of Skegness and Mablethorpe are worth visiting.

“Exactly as described”
A nice clean house in a quiet close near the beach .The enclosed garden was perfect for the dogs .Nice welcome pack and plenty of books and films provided .

“WONDERFUL, PEACEFUL, HOME FROM HOME”
WONDERFUL, PEACEFUL, HOME FROM HOME Just back from a fabulous stay at the Sunshine Cottage, Chapel St Leonards. Great location it felt like a home not a holiday home. It is in a residential area. (Remember to put the bin out on the appropriate day, just like at home). We do not have a dog so were a little concerned that there might a smell of dog (something that cannot be helped), but the house smelt fresh and very clean. It was a great surprise to find two bannisters going up the stairs, to haul ourselves up as we are not as mobile as we used to be. The shower/bathroom is on the ground floor and the bedrooms are on the first floor so bring your bathrobe/dressing gown. There is a toilet on the first floor. The garden is large and sheltered with a large crazy paved patio area including a large patio table and plenty of chairs. Also, a large grassed area. The village is a couple of minutes by car but easily walkable if you are able bodied. The Italian (La Pazza) in the village and the Trafalgar Inn at the end of Ancaster Avenue are excellent eating places. We did have a small issue with the heating system but this was quickly resolved by the housekeeper Vanda. An excellent place to stay. We will go back sometime.

“great cottage!”
the cottage was presented in a lovely clean condition (as promised). beds comfortable and everything presentable & a garden that really was dog escape proof! essential shops nearby, beach only 10 min away by foot. the only niggles were the sticking bathroom door and a minimal supply of loo rolls for 5 people. otherwise well pleased.

“Comfortable, quiet and excellent for the dogs”
Took elderly parents for a week away at Chapel St Leonards and had a very enjoyable time. We have two large dogs, they loved the space of the garden and we loved the fact it was very secure for them to run free. All bedrooms are upstairs but the two handrails up the stairs made it accessible for the old folks and the small upstairs bathroom was very handy. Downstairs larger bathroom had a large bath with an over bath shower. Topping up the electric on the key was no problem at all. The kitchen is a good size with everything we needed. The beds were comfy and the place was always warm enough. Our parents really enjoyed their stay.
