Killard Cottage holds a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2017, 2018 & 2019. It is a warm and welcoming retreat in an idyllic location with stunningly spectacular sea views. Set on Killard Hill, Doonbeg and close to the owner's home and working dairy farm this delightful cottage offers magnificent sunsets and is within five minutes walk of the secluded and unspoilt Blue Flag White Strand Beach making it an attractive choice for a seaside holiday. Killard offers access to many designated scenic walking routes, both along the nearby cliffs and also further afield, while geologists remain intrigued by the local rock formations. The area is also very popular with birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts.The cottage is modern and detached, having recently been restored. It is bright and airy and furnished to a high standard. The open plan ground floor living area of the cottage is finished with exposed ceiling beams and consists of a fully fitted kitchen with dining table together with a very comfortable sitting area complete with solid fuel burning stove. The cupboards at Killard Cottage are always stocked with basic starter essentials. Wooden floors are fitted throughout the property, the living area leads to a spacious double bedroom with en-suite shower room and patio doors at ground level. From this room a spiral staircase gives access to a connecting first floor mezzanine single bedroom with a sloping ceiling and a spectacular Velux window view. Outdoors, there is a gravelled courtyard with furniture and striking views of the blissful Doonbeg Bay and Atlantic Ocean, together with the adjacent countryside.

“Great place to stay”
Visited this gem for a week in July- just what we needed after a frantic end of school year. Quiet with super views. Well maintained and nothing too much trouble. Would definitely go again.

“Lovely Cottage, Lovely Spot”
Really nice cottage, felt very at home during the trip. Very quiet location. Cosy but modern house. Great spot to explore the west coast of Clare. Very close to great surfing locations and there is a sandy beach just down the road from the house (Silver Strand). House was equipped with lots of soap and hand sanitizer which was nice and house seemed very clean when we arrived. Aideen and Jim were very helpful during our stay and were very friendly and accommodating people. We would definitely visit again. Suggestions: Would recommend WiFi password printed in info booklet A Bluetooth speaker in the house would be very nice

Aideen and Jim were fantastic hosts of Killard Cottage in Doonbeg, Co. Clare. They were warm and friendly and gave us lots of information on local amenities and attractions. They responded immediately to any queries we had. The cottage was fully stocked with everything you’d have at home and was super clean too. The little touches like biscuits and logs for the fire were a real treat and it demonstrated how much our hosts wanted their guests to enjoy their stay.
