If you like walking or cycling, then this property is ideally situated. Centrally located on the Island, this converted Barn offers comfort with all modern amenities. Wood floors throughout and beams in the comfy lounge with an open plan kitchen and dining area. Surounded by fields and stunning views, there is the opportunity to see wildlife on your doorstep. Ideal for families and couples, young and mature. We provide a welcome pack of Tea, Coffee, MIlk and Sugar as well as a small selection of Beer, Lager and Wine. Our minimum night stay is 4 nights. No smoking.

“A real home from home experience!”

Wonderful hosts, Beautiful location, well appointed and close to everything. We had not stayed in a cottage before and decided that this was the ideal place for a party of 6. It was as the title explains a real home from home experience. The hosts had thought of everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage was clean, and tidy an there was even complementary wine and beer which was a nice touch. We enjoyed waking up to see the ducks and pheasant wondering past the front door each morning and in the evenings there were stunning views of the sun setting. Thank you Pauline and Malcolm for a very enjoyable stay.

“Perfect place to stay on the Isle .”

The location is great for everything on the island . Lovely hosts ,very helpful .Great place to return to every evening..plenty of space and parking .Hope to return soon.

Great space for 4. Good facilities and nice and central to the island. Not far to travel to amenities in any direction. We were really well looked after. Will go again.

Wonderful cottage, everything for a family present. Great Central location and only a short drive to all the attractions. Beautiful surroundings and well priced. Would definitely recommend.

Great property with plenty of space. Ideal location for central and east side of island attractions (e.g. Robin Hill park - 5 mins; Black Gang Chine - 10 mins drive). Many local pubs within a short drive. Will be booking again and would recommend to anyone.

“Great Christmas”

We had a lovely Christmas at the Alma Cottage, in the outskirts of Newport, the Isle of Wight.The cottage is larger than on photos and was beautifully decorated by the charming hosts.There are a few walking paths around, and though the changeable and stormy weather ay this time of the year- great.Thank you so much!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Pauline (the owner) a message.

If Pauline (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
