Description

The "Hooley" is a 1 bed apartment situated in Hoole, Chester The apartment can sleep up to 4 people. It is just been FULLY refurbished tastefully, consisting of one double bedroom, bathroom, living room and well-equipped kitchen.

It has a TV, central heating, washer dryer and all the other comforts that you would have at home.

There is plenty of street parking (No permit needed), but also behind the apartment in a small free car park by the children's park.

The "Hooley" is in a great location for the trendy suburb of Hoole, which has a fishmongers, butchers, sainsuburys local, pubs (some child friendly), restaurants and take aways to name a few.

“Chester 9/21”

The first thing noticeable was the musty/smoky smell which got worse when you got to the lounge, the lounge was ok but the bed settee was low and very uncomfortable so we never sat on it - used dining chairs instead which needed re upholstering . Kitchen was ok - disappointed there was no teapot or corkscrew. Bedroom was stark and uninviting with no bedside table, and anaglypta coming away from the wall above the window. Nice touches with the wine,chocolates and brolly, but basics left quite a bit to be desired.

Response from the owner Sorry you didnt enjoy your stay, this is the first i knew of any issues. We do have a no smoking policy and all we can think of is that the people prior to you smoked in the apartment, but we didnt notice anything when we cleaned it. Regarding the other points we have addressed all of them and replaced and installed new things with the exception of a teapot.

Well equipped flat in the heart of Hoole. The. Flat was neat , clean, and nicely decorated. The stairs up to the flat are very steep.

“Ideal location”

Great location with good shoping nearby. Our visit was primarily to visit Chester Zoo, which was a great day out, but all Chesters attractions are easily reached from this location.

“Lovely apartment, excellent location, perfect hosts - everything we wanted!”

The flat is in a fantastic location, very easy to find with local amenities on your doorstep - in fact we did not even move the car on the 2nd day of our stay because everything was so close. The Sainsbury's local is less than 5 minutes walk, there is also a great pub very close by that does food so you don't even have to cook if you don't want to. Having said that the flat is wonderfully furnished with all mod cons - a well fitted kitchen which we did use to cook a meal. The hosts were brilliant - Nick and Polly kept in contact all the way through the booking process and there are some wonderful extra bits - like milk in the fridge, tea and coffee and to top it off a bottle of wine and chocolates! I would highly recommend this flat as a good base to stay and explore Chester - the pub as you would expect is a little noisy during opening hours but that does not deter from what you get with the apartment.

“Home sweet Hooley”

I loved my stay. It was clean and had every convenience. The owners were wonderful offering assisstance. The Hooley was in the perfect location, close to grocery stores and a short walk to the centre of Chester. Faulkner street had all you need for a lazy day. I felt happy and safe.
