A Derbyshire rural retreat in the capital of the Peak.Welcome to the Motor House, a first floor apartment just inside the Peak National Park. This unique apartment is set in the grounds of an old Georgian farmhouse, within walking distance of the railway station and local shops.It offers an ideal place, whatever the season, for both walking and touring the Peak District National Park. Edale, Castleton and the Pennine Way are all close by. Buxton, Bakewell, Dovedale and numerous other attractions are just a short drive away.Golf course within two miles, shops and pubs are nearby.First floor contemporary open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. Two bedrooms, sleeps 3-4 (one double, one single, and one pull-out bed). Bathroom with shower over bath, toilet, gas hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge and freezer.This property is non-smoking. No pets.Shared garden, BBQ, parking. High chair and travel cot available on request.

“Lovely welcoming apartrment and hosts”

Great location for touring - wonderful local pub for food (the Royal Oak) - the apartment is very cosy with very well equiped kitchen. Big shout out to John and Avril who made us very welcome & even had us in to their house for a cup of coffee & showed us the cars they were renovating.

“Xmas break 3 night stay”

Me and my husband have just come back from a 3 night stay here,we arrived to be greeted by Avril & John who showed us around the property,and said if we needed anything just to go ask nothing was to much trouble.As this was over Xmas period Avril had put a little Xmas tree up which we thought was a lovely touch,also they had left fruit cereal tea,coffee etc things in the fridge & freezer if we wanted,we had taken quiet a few bits of our own but thought this was really nice,a lovely pleasant jesture lovely couple thank you Andy and Mandy.

“New Years stay”

We stayed for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day with our 8 month daughter. Couldn’t of wished for a better new year. Avril and John are such nice people and were so welcoming. The apartment is amazing and had everything we needed. We will be certainly going back.
