Description
The barn conversion has recently been extended. The original building dates back to the eighteenth century. 'Mwendafye' loosely translated means 'come and go as you please'. Long term stays are possible - please contact your Hosts.
The downstairs bedroom is restful and comfortable with two single beds which can be connected together to make a queen size bed; a built in wardrobe, and TV. It overlooks the garden. Fresh linen and towels are included.
The lounge has retained some character features with its stone walls, wooden beams and unusual doorway and provides a TV, Roku Express streaming media player, Wi-Fi, and couch/daybed with hidden trundle with fourth bed. There is a selection of DVDs, puzzles and games and adult and children's books. The glass door opens onto the garden at the front with wooden bench and table for alfresco dining, and there is a sheltered back patio area with wooden garden furniture providing seating for five.
The bathroom has a bath and shower, heater and heated towel rail.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a four ring gas hob and electric oven, microwave, large fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, iron, washing machine and radio. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk is provided. Supplies for a basic continental breakfast can be provided if wanted. Need to be requested at time of booking. There is an extra charge for this. There is also an enclosed area outside with windy drier.
The main bedroom is upstairs- has a double bed, pine wardrobe and chest of drawers and a TV. There is also a clock radio and a hairdryer . If a computer work area is wanted we can put a table and chair in the bedroom in place of an occasional chair.
Access to the property is via an independent gravelled driveway with electric gates. It is attached but completely independent from the main property .It has secure off road parking for two vehicles - one of which is under cover.

“Cosy relaxing cottage, friendly helpful owner”
Great location for exploring the East Devon/Dorset Jurassic coast and villages. Cottage had everything you could need and breakfast supplies were fantastic. Cosy with lots of character, beautifully converted from barn.
