“Perfect”

What a perfect house. Sits just one road back from the high street. The photos do not do this house justice at all. It's so spacious and very very quiet. Vety well supplied with all the basics you could wish for. We definitely will be back.

“Comfortable and well located town house”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2021

This is a very well presented and spotlessly clean town house over three levels. The lower level is simply a small entrance hall useful for shoes and coats. The next level has good sized lounge accommodation combined with a nice kitchen. The kitchen appliances ( induction hob, electric ovens, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher) all worked well. Full instructions are provided for everything but they are all very simple. If we had not stayed in the hottest week of the year a washer / dryer might have been useful. Also on this level is a good sized bathroom with a full bath and an over taps shower that had good power pressure and a very good temperature control. We also found the landing space on this level very useful for additional storage and for getting things together for days out. The top level has a good sized master bedroom with lots of storage, another good sized twin with lots of storage and a wet room. The head room in the wet room is very restricted but it was useful to have an addition toilet upstairs. Like other reviewers, we would have preferred a bigger bed and the master bedroom has plenty of space for one. The building area is extremely quiet despite being part of a townhouse development. The location is literally a one minute walk from Wells High Street. A lot of reviews mention the parking. The owners are completely open that the space is tight (it's the manoeuvring area which is limited rather than the actual space). We have a Honda CRV. We used the space all the time and were in and out for day trips. It is tricky in a car of our size and I made full use of the parking camera, the sensors and my wife guiding! It can be done but you have to accept a slow, careful, multi point turn in a car of this size. In a bigger car it might be impossible. In a smaller car you should be able to do it without worrying that it is much of an issue. Wells itself is a lovely small city. This was a family holiday and, apart from the well-known attractions we also visited the excellent cinema (looks nothing from the outside but has three screens, comfortable seats and air-con), the swimming pool (lovely and modern, great for children as it's really warm and maximum depth 1.35m) and the Wells museum (lots of interesting things from the Somerset area). We had very good meals at the nearby City Arms and The Crown pubs. Day trips out from Wells included Longleat Safari Park, Wookey Hole Caves & attractions, Burnham on Sea and Glastonbury. Wells has a nice market (Wednesdays & Saturdays). It's a five minute walk from the property. Overall, this is a good property and a great base for exploring that part of Somerset
