Description
Welcome to our beloved family home backing directly onto lovely dunes and a sandy beach. While listed for 8 people, it has bed space for 13 people. Because of how the TripAdvisor website works, please enter a maximum of 8 guests and include your actual number of guests in the message.
There is no better place than home! And here it is, our beach house which is our family place. There is no better wake-up call than the sound of the waves in the morning. In the evening you can sit and relax with a glass of wine right on top of the dunes with the stunning views of the beach. It is a very private and child-friendly place. It is like their own little paradise with the beach at the back of the house and a great play area on more breezy days. The enclosed and gated garden is very safe for children (I have 5).
Our home features 5 bedrooms that are split between two floors.
Downstairs has a kitchen with a breakfast area, living room, two double bedrooms, a shower room, a separate WC, and a great conservatory leading out to the garden area.
Upstairs has a king-size bedroom, a double bedroom, a third bedroom with two sets of kid's bunk beds, and a bathroom which has a bathtub and toilet.
The house has two wide-screen TVs, one with all the Sky channels and a DVD player, the other with a Sky channels; the house has wireless internet but be warned internet speed is poor on the Romney Marsh.
Outside to the rear is a tiled patio area abutting a large lawn, all of which is fenced in and very private. There is a table with chairs, a gas BBQ, and a charcoal grill. You can sit outside and relax while your kids are having fun on the upper lawn which includes a 10m x 2m sandpit (in case you are tired of the real thing). Outside to the front is off-street parking for 4 or more cars.
Included are sheets, bedding, and towels, as well as ample pots, pans, plates, cups, etc., along with many child-safe plates, cups, utensils, etc. In addition to the fridge in the house, there is a freezer in the attached garage.
There are plenty of fabulous places to see and visit for grownups and kids. Examples are Dover Castle, the town of Rye, the beautiful small gauge trains of the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, Canterbury, Bodiam Castle, as well as indoor swimming pools at a local caravan park (Romney Sands).

“Family friendly beach house”
The house has everything you might need for a family holiday and it is in a perfect location, being right on a long sandy beach. It is warm and comfortable, with all the conveniences of home. We had a great time there.

“Lovely weekend in a great location and child friendly property.”
We had a lovely weekend in this house and the children loved all the games and toys to play with and of course the sandy beach just out of the back garden which the children loved. The bedrooms were all comfortable and clean. There were however a few things that we were not too happy with: the main one being that the kitchen was not clean enough when we arrived; cupboards were dirty and some of the equipment did not look clean. The lounge also needs more practical seating for a house that sleeps 10+, the lounge has only one very large settee that at best was not very comfortable. we did resolve this by moving a settee from the conservatory, so did manage to make it comfortable. Only one other niggle, the TV was not working in the bedrooms, as advertised. Otherwise we did find this house comfortable and would probably go back again, lovely location.

Response from the owner Paulette, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. We had just replaced the TV and ran out of time to get it hooked up properly - my apologies! As for the sofa, we bought it specifically in Germany because we liked the huge deep feel to it and people tend to comment favourably on it; that being said, I will look into adding more seating in the room - thank you for pointing it out!

Response from the owner My apologies that prospective visitors must read this ‘review’. I had heard stories of tenants threatening a bad review if they didn’t receive a full or partial refund, and we unfortunately just lived through that horror. From the very beginning, the exaggerated complaints, refusals to let my cleaner or handyman come by, and the ignoring of my offer to let them leave early and receive a pro-rata refund led me to immediately contact TripAdvisor and forewarn them. TripAdvisor had received incomplete contact details from the tenants; indeed, the mobile number they gave was fake. For a true picture of our lovely family beach house, please see the photos, and read all of the reviews on this website and several others through which we rent out our house.

“A true value for money”
Highly recommended property for a group of 3-4 families. Ample amenities for kids. The property is right on the beach - a sandy beach which is quite rare in the UK.
