“Away from it all and almost perfect.”
We loved the setting: not another building in sight; totally dark at night; silent apart from the weather and wildlife. At the same time, only 10 minutes from Lyme Regis and close to the A35 and access to many of Dorset’s and Devon’s sights. The cottage is very comfortable for a couple, with everything you need, including a pheasant that comes regularly to be fed (even by hand). The owners are very friendly and helpful. The only drawbacks were the rather expensive WiFi setup and the unusual need to feed the electricity meter. Understandable, perhaps, but not terribly convenient. Nevertheless, a great place to get away from things. We would definitely consider a second visit.

“All the reviews tell you how good this is!”
A wonderful woodland location, only natural light and a quality cottage with everything you need. There are deer in the garden ( we took photos from the bedroom) the Badgers we missed but the pheasants tap on the door for food. Pond in the garden and a lake full of Carp 100 yards walk. Birds are everywhere, woodpeckers, nuthatch, jay and many other woodland species. Close to Lyme Regis on the county border it is a marvellous centre for getting about. The owners are also very helpful. Don't miss this GEM!
