Description

The Doghouse is self-contained with a double bedroom, open plan kitchen-sitting room and a shower room. There is heating and a small log burner; we supply the wood. Parking is free and on the property. There is a gravelled courtyard to enjoy the British weather in!. The Doghouse is situated next to the host's home, in a quiet, secluded location in the countryside at the end of a bridle path [The Shaw] by the side of a working wood [Park Copse]; great for wildlife lovers. There are some lovely country walks around us and we welcome well-behaved dogs, two maximum. We have two dogs and a cat. We are at the edge of picturesque Wicken village which has a friendly pub serving food from Tuesdays - Sunday lunch. If you are looking for a haven in the heart of the countryside then this is the place for you!

You will need a car as there is not a lot in the way of public transport! However, Milton Keynes Central runs regular trains to London.

“Well converted property in very quiet rural area”

Interesting property in very remote spot. Ideal for relaxing break and dog walking. Debbie was most welcoming and all needs were catered for. Will most likely re- visit.

“Lovely perfect little cottage”

“Enjoy the English countryside under the care of great hosts”

The "Doghouse" was perfect for my needs. It was clean, spacious and located on a beautiful acreage that one can explore with the permission of the hosts. If you want quiet and solitude you will not be disappointed. You will need to pack some "provisions" as you truly are in the country, but a comfortable bed and nice kitchen easily outweigh the lack of more urban surroundings.

“Comfortable, country retreat ideally based for touring”

Modern detached one bedroom bungalow, down country lane, next to owners' residence. All mod cons. Extremely comfortable bed. Liked the open plan kitchen, dining, living area. Country setting. Buckingham, Stoney Stratford , Milton Keynes, Bletchley within easy reach, all offering excellent restaurant/pub facilities. Local country pub just 5 minute drive away. Nice area for country walking. Own transport essential.

How do damage deposits work?
