Description

Little Shiplake is a self contained converted cattle barn with one double bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge. It has a fully fitted kitchen and a fully fitted bathroom with walk in shower. It is set in 17 acres at the foot of the South downs, in the beautiful village of Laughton which has its own shop, church, school and pub. It has its own private garden and any children visiting are more than welcome to meet our 4 chickens that live on site, unfortunately our ponies are no longer with us.

There is a TV and internet access, plenty of parking and the opportunity to walk through all our fields and our woodland at the bottom of the paddocks.

Getting around

From Little Shiplake you can walk to the village shop, Church and Pub. Bus routes are availble into Uckfield, Lewes, Brighton,Eastbourne and other villages. There is a train staion at Glynde (4 miles away) Uckfield (6 miles) and Lewes (7 miles) with links to all of the South coast and London.

House rules

The property is mainly flat, just one small step in the front door so it is good for older people. Great for kids as they can interact with the chickens.
For special occasions I can fit one blow up mattress on the floor if 5 people are staying

How do damage deposits work?

If Sam (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
