Description

Honeycott is a beautifully converted building situated on a working farm in the heart of Exmoor, providing comfortable holiday accommodation for up to 4 guests. The property is at the heart of this picturesque and hidden farm, comprised of 280 acres of land that is home to the ruins of the lost village of Clicket, 400 Lleyn sheep with their lambs, and a suckler herd of 50 Simmental cows with calves.

Honeycott is south facing and has a sunny garden with patio and garden furniture right outside the door. Entrance is directly into the open-plan living area with dining table and the kitchen is at the far end. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one king-size bed and one twin bedroom, plus the family bathroom which is comprised of bath with shower attachment over plus toilet and hand basin. There is a second toilet with hand basin on the ground floor. The spectacular views from the bedrooms look over the gardens and across the valley towards the coast.

Honeycott is a semi-detached holiday cottage; the property next door also sleeps 4 guests and the parking area is shared between the two cottages.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, cookware, a variety of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses.

A television (with Freeview) and DVD player is provided in the living room and wireless broadband is available throughout the property.

A hair dryer is provided for your convenience and an iron with ironing board.

A travel cot and high chair can be provided on request, please let us know at time of booking if you require them. (Bed linen is not provided for the cot).

Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation and are provided from a biomass boiler and solar panels, making our green footprint very good. Heating can be adjusted to suit your preferences and used as much as you like.

Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels if you require them for day trips. Please note, bed linen will not be provided for the cot.

Tea, coffee and sugar will be provided. There may also be other non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and oil available.

Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid and dishwasher powder will be present in the property, and one to two toilet rolls will be provided.

The garden is directly outside the property, and has a small patio area and garden furniture and barbecue. There is ample parking for two cars directly beside the cottage on the gravelled area. This area has double gates to make the cottage gardens and parking area enclosed.

Well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement (maximum of 2). A supplementary fee of £10 per dog will be added to your invoice. Dogs are welcome but please do not allow them on the furniture, upstairs or leave them alone in the property at any time.

Please note, you are expected to be vigilant and keep your dog under control at all times as there is likely to be livestock in the immediate vicinity on the farm.

The farm is also home to 4 working (and very friendly) dogs.

Honeycott is strictly non-smoking.
