Description

Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo, is a historical village surrounded by vineyards and olive groves and is centrally located with easy access to the major cities of art and places of interest. Podere Zollaio is on the outskirts of Vinci and has a beautiful view of the village.

The Archi is one of our holiday apartments and it includes a well equipped kitchen, 2 shower rooms, a lounge area with satellite TV and a double bed.In addition in the in the lounge area there is a single day bed and a single sofa-bed.

Outside there is a patio with tables to dine 'al fresco' and space to relax with beautiful views over Vinci village and the surrounding countryside. The swimming pool and whirlpool area is ideally located to enjoy the views and the sun.

For the joy of your palate we produce our own excellent extra virgin olive oil. But images speak more than words and we can assure you that the reality is even more beautiful. Simply treat yourself to a holiday with us.

We are always on site to answer any question, to offer help and advice or to give a tour of the vineyard and the olive groves.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Podere Zollaio.

The garden/patio and the swimming pool area, both with a beautiful view of Vinci, will invite you to relax and feel recharged.
For our younger guests we have a swing, a sand pit and a lot of space to run around.
Our guests love to find their favourite spot to sit and contemplate nature with a glass of local wine!
Or why not try the famous Florentine steak grilled on the BBQ and served with chopped rosmary and a drizzle of our extra virgin olive oil.
For animal lovers we have 9 cats, a goat ( Daisy) and 3 donkeys ( Camilla, Viola and Gino).

Getting around

The closest railway station is Empoli (12 Km from Vinci) which has good connections to Florence, Pisa and Siena. We always recommend to take the train to get to Florence because of the traffic and the difficulty of finding parking, moreover the main station in Florence is set in the middle of the city. Other towns or villages can be reached by car: Lucca, Pistoia, Certaldo, S.Gimignano, Volterra, Montecatini,etc.

Interaction with guest

We live on site, so we are always available in case of problems, to give advice, or just for a chat if our guests wish to learn more about the local area or the olive oil production. We like to interact with our guests, to learn more about them but we are very careful not to disturb their privacy. Some of our cats are also very friendy and they are expert in PR. As for the donkeys they like to let our guests know that they are there and that they are welcome to go and pet them...but mind the fingers
