To reduce the risk of transmission of the Covid-19 virus, the cottage will have a deep clean and a 72 hour interval between each booking.
We ask all guests to strip the beds and place linen in the bags provided before departure.
Steep internal stairs and external garden steps make the cottage unsuitable for very young children or people with limited mobility, but do feel free to check with us before booking.

“Half term break”
We booked a three night break during half term and we were very pleased with this charming accommodation. The house is very cosy and makes for an ideal place to relax after a good walk, especially in front of the log burner. You will find everything you need in the house, including a hairdryer, hot water bottle & books galore. Complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits and milk were awaiting our arrival which was a nice touch. The village itself is lovely, with plenty of pubs to chose from. There are also several supermarkets within 4 miles. The walk to the reservoir was lovely as were other walks we found around the peaks. Derwent damn is a great spot for families too. We would definitely recommend this property.

“Fantastic Weekend Away”
Really lovely holiday cottage ideally located for fantastic walk up Kinder Scout. Very clean and tidy when we arrived & very tastefully decorated. Kitchen was well equipped with enough crockery & cutlery. The owners provided lots of information about the cottage and village with recommended walks & restaurants. Pub only 5 min walk which was a real bonus after a long walk. Will hopefully be back again as it was perfect!
