Description
Merrijig is a modern, detached and spacious property on the edge on Dulverton, but still only a few minutes walk from the centre of the village, where you will find a good choice of shops, restaurants, pubs and tea rooms. This property offers comfortable holiday accommodation for up to 6 guests (plus cot) in 3 bedrooms.
Please note, this property does not accept groups of work persons, only guests wishing to book for holiday purposes please.
Entrance to the property is just off the car parking area on the drive, the front door opens into a hallway with a double bedroom on each side, one with en-suite shower room, and there is a further toilet with hand basin off the hall too. Upstairs is the main living area, the large sitting room has sliding doors onto a balcony with views over the surrounding countryside, and a door to the rear which opens onto a small patio area and garden access. The large kitchen with dining table and adjoining utility area is also upstairs, as is the family bathroom, comprised of bath with shower over, toilet and hand basin. There is a third bedroom upstairs, which has twin beds and a cot. The rooms are all spacious with plenty of storage, two of the bedrooms have built-in wardrobes with sliding doors, plus chests' of drawers in all bedrooms. A path from the back door at the rear of the kitchen leads up into the garden, which is a slightly sloping lawned area, and large picnic table at the top on a paved patio.
The kitchen appliances are all modern and include fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, and large electric Stoves range cooker with dual oven and induction hob. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, cafetiere, a variety of cookware, kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses.
The living room has a television with basic Sky package (with a Freesat box, which can be connected up if required), and wifi is available throughout the property at no extra cost. An iron and ironing board, and hairdryers are all provided for your convenience.
Security deposit: A security deposit of 200 GBP is required when booking this property. This will be added to the total price of your booking, and will be refunded after your stay unless the owner discovers damage to the property or its contents after your departure.
Bed linen, duvets, and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips.
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of the accommodation. Merrijig benefits from central heating, which is controlled by thermostats that can be adjusted to suit your preferences if required.
Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits will be in the cottage on your arrival. Other non-perishable items including salt, pepper, and 1 or 2 toilet rolls per toilet will be provided.
Cleaning materials such as washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets and surface cleaner will be present in the property together with a hoover.
The garden to the rear of the property is enclosed and private. It has a large picnic table at the top of the garden on a paved patio area and the lawn back to the house is slightly sloping, with a path that runs to the side. There is a further table and chairs if required. From the garden there is a side gate with steps down to the front of the property. Off-road parking is available in front of the property on the drive, there is space for two cars. Further free parking is available on the roadside if required.
