Description from owner

Description

Reynards Barn started life as a cowshed, & now lovingly converted into a holiday barn, nestled on our farm in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Reynards offers a countryside escape for lazy days & for the explorers among you, 1066 country, National Trust properties, clean beaches, Rye and Hastings are all on your doorstep.

Living

Reynards has a large open plan living area and hanging centrally from its vaulted ceiling is a large candelabra. Warm brick coloured walls embrace you whilst you snuggle into the comfy sofas that surround a large wood burning stove. Reynards is all on one level making getting around easy.

The kitchen is well equipped, with all mod cons inc a large American style fridge freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine. The oak dinning table easily seats 6 and enables you to dine whilst enjoying the great views across the fields.

Sleeping

The spacious master bedroom comes complete with a comfy double bed and roomy ensuite shower room.

Along the hallway is a cloakroom and then the second bedroom with twin beds and views to the front of the property The third bedroom has two single beds with a good sized bathroom next door.

Outside

Open the double patio doors and walk into the generous gated garden with a terrace, which provides an ideal setting for alfresco suppers on hazy summer days. As evenings draw in, gather around the fire pit, watch the sunset and enjoy family time wrapped in blankets toasting marshmallows.

Well behaved dogs are very welcome with prior notification, please do not allow them in the bedrooms or on furniture. Dogs must also be kept on leads on the farm and must not be left unattended. A £35 charge per dog, is payable upon arrival.

Parking for 3 cars is available right outside the property.

The property has broadband. Supermarkets can deliver groceries to us.

Large enclosed garden

Reynards is just one of 3 holiday barns on the farm and can be booked in conjunction with these to accommodate up to 14 guests

We also sell our farm produce, sausages, pork, lamb, eggs and veg etc

Attractions

Nearby Rye, with its medieval buildings, cobbled streets and quaint charm is an excellent place to explore. Discover its ancient inns, tempting restaurants and little boutique shops. A landscape full of wildlife, can be enjoyed all year long at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. Further down the coast is Camber Sands, an expanse of soft, sandy beach that stretches for seven miles and boasts a half-a-mile width at low tide.

Be inspired by creative planting and old-fashioned roses in the glorious gardens of Great Dixter and Pashley Manor, or visit historic buildings such as Batemans, home to Rudyard Kipling, Chartwells and Lamb House.

Response from the owner Thank you for your review, and can I stress we all have our own viewpoint. During Covid we have been asked to comply with many extra duties including additional cleaning and avoiding unnecessary contamination. We have been advised to alter arrival and departure times to allow for the additional cleaning processes and length of time between guests. All the Barns are self catering and we provide the basics to start you off on your holiday, anyone is welcome to contact me should they have any queries about the barn and what is available. The reviews we have are honest and speak for themselves direct from guests that have enjoyed their holiday and in some cases have returned up to 4 times. The guests your refer to had arrived 3 days prior to your son. I am always friendly and respectful to all of our guests and feel saddened at your comments
