Description

This little mobile home has been transformed into a quirky but idyllic escape from everything. East facing and set in a beautiful South Devon Valley with fields as your view, it is perfect for time away from the stresses of a busy life. There's no internet nor TV but books and games aplenty and a mass of birds for company. The living room with it's woodburner has been lovingly furnished with art, carved wood and lots of handmade cushions and textiles. The deck is perfect for dining al fresco. The kitchen and shower room are pretty basic but functional and we think will provide everything needed apart from food and drink for a happy week or two on our farm. Please talk to us if you would like to pitch a tent or two. Camping is available at extra cost so it may suit a family with older children.

Interaction with guest

We are all artists/makers here and are pretty sociable. We are Open in the Farmhouse 2 till 6pm every Thursday for visitors to see our work and are always happy to show people round and will find the time if they like what we do but would rather come on a different day. Apart from that we are always interested in meeting new people - our household centres around the dining table and kitchen and we have coffee at the ready. . We won't intrude on your time here though unless you invite us! Every so often we press apples into juice and make cider - we welcome extra hands! The orchard is bursting with fruit, and we can point you in the direction of wonderful wild foods depending on the season. We sell our own apple juice, cider and chutney.

House rules

We may allow camping along side for camping for an agreed cost. Please ask if you have children who would be happy camping. All gates must be kept shut. The composting loo (an indoor and very civilised one!) must be used according to written instructions.

How do damage deposits work?
