Description

2 The Linney offers luxury accommodation to small families and couples. The barn was originally built in 1850 and is part of a rural farm comprising farmhouse and converted outbuildings, and constructed in Devon Stone and Timber. There is a large garden with terrace and verandah for dining al fresco and enjoyment of the surroundings. The garden offers many trees and views of the surrounding countryside and an area of lawn where families can play ball games. All modern appliances and furniture, including unlimited fibre internet/wifi provided. Cottage lies directly on the historic Templar way, running from Haytor down past the river Teign, to the estuary, 2 miles from the popular market town of Newton Abbot.

Please note that in the summer season (July and August) we only accept Saturday to Saturday bookings.

The cottage is at the edge of Dartmoor and not far from the sandy beaches of Torbay, and is an ideal location for exploring the many local attractions and beauty spots. Idea for families with children, or those that want to be in a rural idyll and take advantage of the wonderful countryside and many local villages and pubs and visitor attractions that are on offer in this scenic part of Devon. There are some superb walks available on your doorstep. Just 50 meters to the River Teign one way and a few hundred meters to Stover Country Park with its lakes and wildlife the other way. For going further afield, the A38 is only around half a mile away.

“Lovely holiday home in a peaceful area”

Absolutely beautiful location. The holiday home is off road around a small courtyard. Four other properties privately owned make up the area. The garden is very big allowing young kids to let off steam. The house itself is very spacious with an open plan kitchen and front room. There are two bedrooms consisting of a main bedroom and twin beds in the other. The bathroom consists of a shower unit and bath. The owners have really made it a home from home. We would definitely go back to this location.

Lovely home in quiet Devon village. Beautifully presented we were made very welcome. Plenty of space with all mod cons and close to both local walks and Dartmoor- highly recommended would come again.
