Description
This residence is wonderfully located: walking distance from Downtown S.D., Little Italy, and world famous Balboa Park (less than a 10 minute walk in each direction). I love taking a morning walk through Little Italy as the merchants are busy cleaning their sidewalks and setting up for the day, passing through downtown while most of the city is sleeping, walking along the Embarcadero to smell the fresh ocean breeze, and ending in Seaport Village or somewhere in between for a hot drink and people watching. If i had the time to enjoy the day I would wander up to Balboa Park. With a huge collection of museums, beautiful gardens, and the World Famous San Diego Zoo this could be your entertainment for your entire stay! In the evenings I love to relax on the porch, watch the planes land, and then take a walk down to one of the great restaurants in Little Italy or the Gaslamp... somewhere with outdoor seating to watch the sunset. There's always something going on whether you want to hear live music, see some comedy, or immerse yourself in art. (As you can see I love my city... if you need suggestions for things to do in walking or driving distance feel free to pick my brain. I am a San Diego native. We have great opportunities for indoor and outdoor entertainment.)
The living room and front porch have wonderful views of the San Diego Bay. The home is beautifully preserved with its original architecture and design of the late 1920's. The entire house has beautiful wood built ins and decor. The living room has great windows (triple- paned), original stained glass, and a fireplace. The 3rd room that can be used for sleeping is the media room. It has wood blinds, a great view of the bay, and a daybed with a separate pullout bed underneath.
BONUS: Anyone staying for more than a week will get a complimentary cleaning every weekend.
The main bathroom as well as the European style service bathroom are both showers only. Sorry, no bathtubs.
This house was listed on this and other vacation rental sites by the previous owner. So if you think you stayed here before (and loved it) you probably did! I strive to have you love this little gem of San Diego as much as I do. Feel free to let me know if there is anything i can do to personalize your stay and make it unforgettably wonderful!

“Great location, attentive owners”
