What a wonderful destination for your Isle of Wight holiday a luxury pet friendly house boat at Bembridge Harbour with glorious sea views and excellent accommodation, with dedicated free car parking spaces less than 50 meters away.

Bembridge's beaches are moments away - ideal for a morning walk with friends and the family, not forgetting your dog if you have one!

Poem 25 offers a unique holiday experience for families and friends, comfortably accommodating up to 9 guests with a spacious open plan upper deck cabin and four substantial lower deck cabins, three of which are en suite.

Access to Poem 25 is via a private gated fully fenced area with a wide gangway. The deck cabin consists of an entrance lobby with utility room and guest wc and a washing machine.

The lobby leads into an open plan area consisting of a fully fitted kitchen with built in fridge freezer, electric oven, hob, grill, microwave and dishwasher. The kitchen is fully equipped for up to 12 guests to prepare and serve meals from the simplest to a full dinner party.

The dining area with a large table that comfortably accommodates 9 also benefits from a wine fridge, informal seating and subtle lighting to create an ideal space to entertain and while away the evenings while enjoying the panoramic views of the harbour.

The living area provides a relaxed space with sofas and amazing views of the harbour and the Solent through full length bifold doors that lead to the bow deck. A television and DVD player is available in this area along with a range of board games, books and CD player and similar.

Each of the three distinct areas of the deck cabin are detailed by their varying heights, curved ceilings, different wall finishes and lighting.

Access to the bow and stern decks gives plenty of opportunity to be “outside” as does the large gravelled private embankment. Netting has been fitted to the boat railings and deck areas to ensure that an accidental “man overboard” does not occur, however guests must take responsibility for children and young people to ensure that they always suitably supervised to ensure their safety.

Below deck are three substantial cabins each with en suite accommodation and a further “bunk cabin”.

Bow cabin – 17ft by 13ft with superking size double bed, large built in triple wardrobe and drawer unit, seating and en suite shower room with basin and wc, along with a storage area.

Stern cabin – 19ft by 13 ft with a king sized bed with a raised area to one side with chest of drawers and seating/daybed to one side. A built in triple wardrobe and drawers provides ample storage and hanging space and an en suite with electric shower, wc and wash in basin makes this excellent self contained accommodation. Built in stairs lead to the rear bulk head that accommodates the various utilities for the barge, this is locked (key provided) to ensure younger guests do not end up in the “bilges”.

Middle cabin – 13ft by 9ft with a king size bed and built in triple wardrobe and drawer storage and en suite offering a shower, wc with wash basin. This cabin is linked to the adjoining fourth cabin (lockable door) with bunk accommodation for three and separate access to the downstairs hallway; thus providing and excellent family suite with the benefit of two rooms for greater privacy.

Bunk cabin – 10ft by 9ft with double bunk and trolley bed to accommodate three young people, with ample storage for clothes and the like. This cabin can be accessed from both the hallway and the adjoining cabin, giving access to the en suite accommodation, ideal for children while providing parents with privacy and space of their own.

Poem 25 benefits from an underfloor heating system and hot water provided by a gas combi boiler, and “normal” electrical sockets and switching.

We had an amazing time. We went to celebrate my 60th birthday and it was a fantastic experience. The weather was great and we had the bi-folding doors open from first thing until after dark taking in the view and watching the tide coming in and going out. It is spacious and well equipped. Off road parking is a bonus. We would recommend The Birdham in Bembridge and Hotbox pizza from the Pilot Boat Inn just down the road. Dawn and family, 2nd July 2023

Getting around

It's easy to get around the island from Bembridge by car, all the attractions and beaches are within easy reach. Also so much is available in the village itself and within easy walk. Bembridge is pretty flat so there's no steep hills to get up and down to wherever you want to get to. The number 8 bus has various picking up points in Bembridge and is a good reliable service. Bus stops include by the church for the village centre and it runs to Sandown, Newport and Ryde.

“Super Site”

Lovely place to stay. Brilliant location overlooking the harbour. Bags of space with generous bedrooms and living area. One word of caution the decking is very creaky for those sleeping below so if you have some in the party who are up early, or late to bed, the noise can disturb sleepers.
