“Relaxing” My wife and I stayed at Turtle Beach and found it to be more than we expected. The value was perfect for our budget. All the comforts of home were there.Paul and his staff kept the rooms and resort very clean. We were met at the airport and then taken for groceries before going to our rental.Turtle Beach is located half way between West End and West Bay,(about a 10 minute walk ethier way)just enough to keep you away from the hussle and bussle of the two areas.Yet if you wanted to go to ethier it was close. As far as the service went whatever our needs were were met.The entire staff made sure of that.

“A'Mazing L'Alize” From the minute we decided to book L'Alize until we boarded the plane to leave Roatan we were given top notch service. Our pre-trip planning was a breeze and we had tons of help from the owner and manager. Upon arrival we were met at the airport and taken to the local grocery store to stock up on supplies. From the store it was about a 20-minute ride to L'Alize. Thankfully the house came with a van because the walk out to the road is steep!. We were given a tour of the house by Tish (the manager) and introduced to Olga, Edie, and their family (our caretakers, cooks, and concierge). The house is as described, perhaps even better, and pictures can not show how truly amazing it is. From the second you walk through the door you are preoccupied with the incredible view out every window. We spent a great deal of time on the decks but there were nights we had to eat inside because the breeze could be a bit much. However, waking up in the morning in the master suite is unbelievable! The breeze rolls through the room, the sound of the ocean is in the distance (along with a rooster), and you can lay in bed and watch the sunrise as cruise ships pass by. The kitchen is very well stocked and it was easy to cook for our large group (12 total). There are stairs everywhere at L'Alize and you must conquer a fair amount of them to get to the beaches. Both beaches are decent and Edie attempts to keep them clean but a fair deal of trash can wash in each night. The surf was a bit much for snorkeling for most our group but it was possible. The main beach in front of the house is next to the caretaker's house but the second beach (a 10 minute walk) is quite secluded. You are between West Bay and West End and both are easy to reach (we spent the majority of our time between the two). South Shore Zipline is a very short ride from the house (You will pass it daily). We ended up spending $140 for gas but we were constantly on the move. You will not be sorry if you stay

Casa Ladera Roatan West End - 6 brs, pool, 3 lvls

West End house

  • 6 bedrooms
  • 4 bathrooms
  • sleeps 16

“Great trip, great accomodations” I stayed along with 5 friends at Casa Ladera for a week in October. The accomodations were great, with close proximity to restaurants, shopping and bars. We traveled to the other side of the island several times, and recommend The asylum, a little restaurant/bar on the South side that sits in the water on a pier. The Fantasy Island Resort is also a fun day trip with facilities, snorkeling, and restaurant. We found the house to be roomy, comfortable, and conveniently located. Rogers

About Roatan

Roatan is surrounded by numerous smaller islands, various cayes, and the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System. This system is the second-largest barrier reef system on the planet and the largest one in the Western Hemisphere. The Roatan landscape features blue skies, even bluer waters, and beautiful, sun-drenched beaches. Nature lovers relish all of these local offerings, while outdoor enthusiasts enjoy swimming, Roatan diving and snorkeling, horseback riding, Rotan golf, and fishing.

Some of the sights you will not want to miss include:

  • The Museum of Anthropology and History: This two-story museum is a walk through San Pedro Sula Valley's history. It features several intriguing displays that include information on the Spaniards' arrival, the Conquest, and the merging of Indigenous and Spanish cultures.
  • The Rio Platano Biosphere Reserve: The Rio Platano, the biggest and most impressive reserve in eastern Honduras, showcases thousands of diverse species of animals and plants.
  • The Nombre de Dios: Also known as "The Name of God," this mountain range expands east and south as visitors travel throughout the region. It features lush surroundings and a breathtaking landscape. One of the range's highlights is the Llama del Bosque, "The Flame of the Forest," a tall tree topped with exquisite red flowers.
  • Celaque National Park: Situated just outside the town of Gracias, this park contains excellent hiking trails and a cloud forest that includes the highest peak in Honduras. Celaque is a sacred center of spirituality for the Lenca people, who are indigenous to the region.

When staying in Roatan, your vacation rental becomes your home away from home. Regardless of whether you book a villa or condo by the beach or a home near the city center, you will have all the modern amenities you need to make your experience a dream come true.

Tranquil Beachside Getaway with Private Pool, Beach & Dock on 4 Sublime Acres
Amazing Time at La Diosa

My wife, sisters and I came to Roatan for a relaxing visit for the second time in two years. This was our 3rd trip (overall) to Roatan and we have stayed in different villas each time. The home is gorgeous and in a very quiet, serene area. The grounds are immense and lovely with so many different beautiful flowers and plants. The views - oh, the views! We loved relaxing in the saltwater infinity pool while gazing at the ocean. The service provided by the staff was superb! Liz was very helpful in answering all of our questions before and during our visit and in getting us squared away throughout the journey. Effraim is excellent at taking care of things on the property and helped us out whenever we had questions or requests. We would definitely recommend having Rosa cook for you during your stay. She is a great cook and has a very sparkling personality. We greatly enjoyed our conversations with her and thank her for telling us the secret to making coconut chicken! The meals we shared out on the terrace cooked by Rosa were one of the many highlights of our trip. We also had an enjoyable and informative personalized tour given by George, Rosa's husband. We would definitely recommend this for others staying at the villa. Lucky and Hope, the Katrina rescue dogs were so fun and sweet. My sisters wanted to "dognap" them both and bring them back to New Orleans with them! We were happy with every aspect of LaDiosa. It was wonderful! When we plan our next trip we are already planning to stay at LaDiosa.see more
L'Alizé: Private, Spacious Beachfront, in West Bay- kayaks, pingpong, pool/beach
For the best stay, book L'Alize

I vacationed at L'Alize with a group of friends in August 2014. Upon arrival, the property was very clean and inviting. The owners were amicable and provided detailed instructions regarding the features of the house. I stayed in the upstairs twin bedroom which was equipped with all essentials- bedding, towels and soap/shampoo. The connecting balcony was ideal for admiring the sunrise/sunset as well as providing a private and relaxing reading environment. One of my favorite features of L'Alize was the patio pool that overlooks the surrounding jungle and ocean. The keyhole beach access is a short scenic walk through the back property. I appreciated the available snorkeling kits provided by L'Alize which enabled me to explore coral reefs of Roatan. My friends and I were fortunate to utilize the services of a personal cook who prepared authentic Honduran cuisine which accentuated my overall experience. My only complaint was the high grade of the driveway which was almost too steep for our rental scooters and mopeds. The connecting road at the top of the driveway is not ideal for hailing a taxi, so a car or scooter is recommended to guests for utmost mobility. The nearest restaurant and convenient store is about a 7 or 8 minute drive away, much too far to walk. Overall, my stay on Roatan proved to be one of my most memorable vacations to date. It was the best atmosphere to spend time and catch up with my best friends. I would love to return to Roatan and L'Alize sometime in the future.see more
ROATAN: Cozy 1 bedroom BEACH COTTAGE FOR RENT
Paradise Indeed

We spend a wonderful week at Lara's Dream, enjoying the beach, deck and surrounding areas. The owner arranged for our transportation which included a stop at the grocery store and then the super friendly Leonora greeted us and showed us the place. The setting is beautiful and we took advantage of the provided beach toys (chairs, paddle board, kayak, bocce ball set) and found the cottage to be well stocked (towels, books, cards, games, music with iPod dock, fully equipped kitchen and propane BBQ). The few restaurants down the beach were good with live music. The cottage is secure (security system and safe) and the neighbors and local dogs are friendly and keep an eye out for each other - no safety issues here. Thank you Laraine and Leonora we plan on coming back soon!see more
Sand Dollar
Perfect sized getaway for 2

This is a small house perfect for a couple. The screened in porch has a view of the ocean. The house sits in a gated area with one other house and a nice pool. The sand and ocean are just outside of the gate where you can walk along a quiet beach and reach two restaurants with just a short walk. There are two dive shops within a short walk down the beach too. The house is in Sandy Bay, a much quieter part of the island. West End is just a short cheap taxi ride away and West Bay is just another short and cheap land or water taxi away from there. When we walked to do things like zip line, the zip line company was able to pick us up at this location. It was easy to stop at a grocery store and get supplies for the week. We were able to prepare all of our breakfasts and most lunches in the kitchen. We even picked up fresh pizza within walking distance and brought it back to eat. If you're looking for a nice getaway for two people in a quiet area of Roatan, this is the place. There aren't all of the restaurants and activities of West End and West Bay, but they are all easy to get to by going out the the main road and getting a taxi.see more
Villa Del Playa #1
Best place we have ever stayed!

This is a wonderful place. Quiet and away but close enough to all that West End has to offer. Beautiful beach! Best snorkel and dive spot directly in front of unit - the Blue Channel - it is awesome. We are planning out next stay here again soon! … see more
Pristine Bay Beach Villa 104
Scenic and peaceful

This villa was perfect for our family of 5. It is spacious, well laid out and clean. The kitchen has everything you could need, the laundry facilities are very up to date. Each bathroom had a large supply of towels. The closets are large. My two youngest children enjoyed the dipping pool. It is very close to the main pool, clubhouse and the beach. I appreciated the blackout window coverings in 2 of the bedrooms because they face the ocean and get full sun all day long. Over all this is a very peaceful and scenic place to spend time. If you are a golfer its probably even better. (we are not).see more
