Description

Blocks away from the beautiful Ocean Park beach, this independent apartment is privately tucked in our back garden. A charming comfortable space with high ceilings & garden view. Our latest addition to our listings, this place is a light filled space with plenty of room to relax.

The kitchenette has everything you might need, from blender to toaster to coffee & spices, to vintage glassware. A West Elm Tripod table with round stools sits in the area for in-house eating or have breakfast in the Acacia wood bistro table & chair that's just outside the entrance door.

The spacious living area with a view to the tropical garden has a beautiful vintage Mies Van der Rohe style lounge sofa, teak Indonesian opium table, cotton hand knotted hammock, huge wall mounted mirror that reflects the lush garden & ceiling fan.

The ample bedroom has a queen size bed with cotton linens, gorgeous mahogany Art Deco Armoir, vintage Panton style chair, ceiling fan & quite AC.

The shower room although narrow is comfortable and more important it's stocked with hair dryer, towels, shampoo, conditioner & body wash so you can travel lighter.

Beach towels & cooler bag are also provided.

There is a beautiful tropical garden with hammocks, different sitting areas, outside shower & grill, where you are welcome to hang & just relax.

CHECK IN & OUT

Check in is any time after 3pm. Check out is 11am.

Wee hours check-in needs to book from the night before.

Early check-in or late check-out can only be confirm at the moment.

TOWELS & BED LINENS

The apartment includes a set of clean towels and beach towel for each guest & beds are ready with clean linens. Clean towels and sheets are given on a weekly basis. If your stay is shorter than a week, you are not entitled to ask for a clean set, but are welcome to bring your own, wash them or pay for a clean one. Bath towels $3 ea. Beach towels $5 ea. Bed linens set $12 ea.

LAUNDRY

There are coin washer & dryer for guests to use after 3pm.

Wash load is $4, includes soap & softener. Dryer is 25¢/3mn.

PARKING

Is available in the street right in front of the house. The house is located on a semi gated community with only local traffic, so parking in front of the house is always available.

INTERNET

Free WiFi connection available.

MASSAGE

We have a loving and caring certified masseuse that will come to the house or can meet you at her studio.

HURRICANE OR STORM POLICY

NO refunds will be given unless:

a) The National Weather Service orders mandatory evacuations in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area and/or;

b) A "mandatory evacuation order has been given for the "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area of residence of a vacationing guest. The day that the National Weather Service orders a mandatory evacuation order in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area, we will refund:

i. Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered,

ii Any reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the "Tropical Storm or Hurricane Warning" period.

c) NO REFUND is honored if it is just rains due to tropical storms - we cannot guarantee the weather.

d) the vacation can be reschedule according to availability of vacant dates in the calendar.

TAX

7% Department of Tourism of PR tax fee is included in the quote.

SMOKING

Allowed only outside, please clean the ashtray & don't leave cigarette butts on floor or garden.

Getting around

Main streets and highway are easily accessible and the area is served by public transportation. Nearest bus stop is in front of the supermarket just around the corner. Take T5 & D53 to/from airport, Isla Verde, Condado & Old San Juan. We strongly suggest in renting a car as it is the easiest way to move around, specially if you plan on doing daytrips outside the metro area. Charlie & Target car rental are both locally own. Otherwise, all major companies have offices at the airport. Online booking gets the best deals.

Interaction with guest

This is not a guest house. The apartment is best suited for the independent traveler. Although the apartment is located in our home premises, it is completely independent. Once we show you the place and hand the keys, you are on your own. We are happy to share our beautiful home with travelers looking for a more authentic experience but please keep in mind this is our home. We live here with our two kids & cat. Sometimes there are friends over for dinners or an afternoon BBQ in the garden, which you are welcome to join.
