The outdoor facilities of both hotels share a stunning 4 acre clifftop location and can be accessed from either Luccombe Hall Hotel or Luccombe Manor Hotel.

Both hotels have an ample on site car parking or you may prefer to walk as it is just a short stroll from Shanklin Villa.

Getting around

The apartment is located a 5 minute walk from the nearest bus route travelling to either Sandown or Ventnor. The main bus station is located in the centre of Shanklin offering connections to other destinations on the Island and is also approximately a 5 minute walk from the apartment building. Shanklin Train Station is a 10 minute walk from the apartment and from here you can catch a train to Lake, Sandown, Brading, Smallbrook Junction, Ryde St Johns, Ryde Esplanade and Ryde Pier Head.

“A very well equipped apartment in a great location”

This three bedroom apartment did not disappoint. The Cromwell apartment had three bedrooms, two of which had sea views. The largest bedroom was a super King with an ensuite bathroom with large whirlpool bath and spa shower. There was also another shower room. The lounge was large with dining area, fully fitted kitchen and comfortable seating area with wall mounted flat screen TV. The apartment was very convenient for the shops and restaurants of Shanklin and also the seafront restaurants and beach. We would highly recommemd this apartment. We also had our own hot tub and terrace.

“First class family holiday”

The location was perfect being very close to the beach and only five minutes walk into Old Shanklin. We stayed in Cromwell apartment on the top floor. It gave us superb views over the sea from the living area, decking and two of the bedrooms. It was equipped to a very high standard with everything we could have wanted. We especially appreciated the washer/dryer, were impressed by the bathroom and shower room, and loved the hot tub. We made good use of the swimming pool at the sister hotel, Luccombe Manor, and enjoyed delicious cream teas in the garden there. The only downside was the difficulty in finding a parking space for a second vehicle at the height of the season (one space is allocated for each apartment). Despite this minor problem, we highly recommend this apartment.

“Excellent accomodation!”

A superb conversion throughout and very well appointed. The apartment was spacious and has the added benefit of the views from the living room and deck area. The apartments are well situated with all of Shanklin's attractions in easy walking distance. One small issue is that the boiler can't cope with the master bedroom en suite shower, if any other water is run in the apartment the shower runs Icy cold. Sadly the people using the bar at the end of the road were very rowdy and unsociable on both Friday and Saturday night, thus sadly resulted in us being rudely awoken in the early hours both nights. This is very possibly not normal and we could have been unlucky. I hope so. However, don't let that put you off, I will certainly be back!

“Perfect accommodation, wonderful sea view and easy access to town,walks or sea front”

Having been blessed with good weather during our stay at Shanklin Villa we came to the conclusion that had we been unlucky enough to have had cold, wet weather, we would still have had a fabulous stay as the apartment is big enough and well equipped, so really one could have still had a splendid time in first class accommodation. I have been recommending this apartment to a number of friends as I can guarantee they will be perfectly comfortable however they chose to spend their holiday. Excellent !

“Lovely place and situation”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was spacey, nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Lovely views of the sea. Nice to use hot tub on open balcony area. Nearby tea rooms and pubs - particularly liked the Crab Inn - looks lovel lit up at night. Chip shops and cafes also easy walk and the sea road is just down the hill. Couldn't fault it.
