“Peace & Tranquility” I have stayed here 4+ times, and I come home relaxed and rejuvenated. It's centrally located in the middle of the western cape, the sunsets are perfect, we usually have meals out on the expansive deck, we bring our kayaks, watch the shipping entering the canal, walk/run/bike the canal path(both sides), cook or grill fresh seafood from local stores, enjoy the wine tastings at the Belfry, jump over to the vineyard for the day, and did I mention the sunsets? The home is roomy, light and airy, plenty of parking, just perfect for us.

“Quiet, Beautiful, and well maintained” We enjoyed our stay at this home for a week in early august. The house was really well maintained, plenty of kitchen appliances, and tableware. The views of the ocean were great too. There were a few good food options nearby, and the town of Sandwich itself is a treat. The bars do close at 1am though, and the ones closest to this house were pretty much empty during the week. It was great being so close to Provincetown and Salem though and it made daytripping to Martha's Vineyard a breeze. However the beach is very rocky. I know people have said things to this effect, but I mean its so rocky that there is almost no sand. Its like walking over a really smooth loose cobblestone road. We did not spend more than 20 minutes at this beach and ended up going to beachs in other cities. If you are looking for a great place on the cape though, and not worried about driving or beach access I would recommend this house.

Perfect Vacation in Manomet

Manomet house

  • 3 bedrooms
  • 2 bathrooms
  • sleeps 6

“Fantastic & Relaxing mini-vacation!” Our biggest mistake was not staying longer! This was a beautiful escape and exactly what we needed. My husband and I together with our two-year-old, my sister and brother in-law and their three-year-old couldn't have asked for a more pleasant, relaxing, carefree few days. The easy walk down to the beach made a great early morning activity with the kids. The house is total perfection; clean and well kept with every amenity you could imagine. We loved watching the fireworks from the upstairs deck and sharing afternoon snacks or morning coffee on the porch just off the kitchen. Sandie and Bob are wonderful, friendly, and caring people that truly enhanced our stay. The pride they take in their property is evident. Each room in the house is cared for and the property carefully manicured. Making sure their guests enjoy their vacation is just as important to them as it is to us. We were so fortunate to secure a few days at the cottage. We cannot wait to return in 2011! Thank you, Sandie & Bob!

“Perfect for our Family!” We have stayed in many cottages in East Sandwich and this one is by far our favorite. The view off the back deck is beautiful. It was wonderful having coffee out there in the morning. Also, the breeze you get coming off the marsh is wonderful. The cottage was clean and bright and was perfect for our family of 4! We can't wait to come back and stay again and again and again!

“It was great to be near the beach.” Lovely cottage that was perfect for a family of four. The kids enjoyed being able to walk to the beach. The cottage had everything (kitchen stuff, beach chair, BBQ, etc.). The town of Sandwich is a quiet location.

“Wonderful” Our stay at north shore Blvd was wonderful. The view was spectactular, the location was great and the house was very nice. There was a small issue of previous damage with the refrigerator drawer, but we called the office right away and reported it to them. Would I rent this location again? Absolutely!!! : )

About Plymouth

Best known as the famous landing site of the Mayflower, Plymouth, Massachusetts beckons to history lovers who come here from all over the country to take a step back into an earlier time. Explore the many museums and preserved cultural heritage sites of this area but don't forget that Plymouth is also home to plenty of fun 21st century vacation attractions as well. Take advantage of the quaint shopping areas, luxury spas, pristine golf courses, and world-class seafood restaurants that lie throughout the village and along the scenic coast. Explore the natural beauty of Plymouth as well; miles of hiking and biking trails wind through local and state parks and offer breathtaking overlooks above of the Atlantic Ocean.

Make the most of your trip to Plymouth by staying in a vacation rental of your own. There are many luxury summer home rentals available and private condo rentals in the village during all four seasons of the year. A vacation rental can offer all the space you need to store your outdoor gear and can also offer more space and better amenities than a hotel. Spend the day exploring the beautiful coastal wilderness and learning about our nation's history, then come home to your own vacation rental for a barbeque or to sit by a campfire on the beach with your family and friends.

Here are a few additional suggestions:

  • Visit Plimoth Plantation: The vast acreage of this living history museum is designed to recreate the lifestyles of pilgrims and Native Americans in the 17th century.
  • Explore the Pilgrim Hall Museum: This is the oldest public museum in the United States and is a place dedicated to preserving and presenting early colonial artifacts.
  • See the Mayflower II: Climb abroad a replica of the ship that brought the first pilgrims to the new world.
  • Visit Brewster Gardens: Explore the native plants and beautiful flowering trees of this popular botanical garden less than a mile from downtown Plymouth.
  • Explore the Myles Standish State Forest: Pack a picnic lunch and then hike or bike the beautiful trails of this preserved forest area.
  • Visit the Jabez Howland House: This is one of the most popular of several preserved historic homes offering guided tours through restored rooms of authentic colonial art and furnishings.

No matter what time of the year you schedule your visit to Plymouth, you'll never run out of fun things to do and see here. You'll also have no trouble finding a perfect vacation rental that offers everything you and your family need. While you're visiting Plymouth, you may also want to schedule day trips to popular Cape Cod destinations nearby like Marlborough and Harwich Port.

Spacious, ocean view, residential beach cottage near historic Plymouth, MA
Peaceful, relaxing and comfortable stay

We stayed at the cottage in Manomet for one week and it was wonderful! We loved the home...quaint New England at it's best. Everything you need (except towels, sheets) for a fabulous week at the beach. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because you had to bring your own linens. Will book again. Thank you Marywinne for allowing us this time at your summer home.see more
Harbor View in Historic Downtown Plymouth
Perfect location

Luckily we chanced upon this holiday rental. If I had known the area intimately I could not have done better. Harbor, town, restaurants, pubs & bars, everything within easy walking distance. Full kitchen, BBQ grill, wet bar, constant breeze billowing the curtains. Reserved parking spot & above all else, very comfy beds. We met the owners who are delightful, shown the ropes & immediately felt at home. I am sitting at a granite counter top, looking at the boats moving about the harbor in a cool breeze on a sunny, bright day. Doesn't get much better than this Highly recommended.see more
