Gem Cottage is a beautiful holiday cottage in Teignmouth, Devon that takes bookings all year round and is ideally suited for 2 people. The cottage is light, spacious and south facing.

Gem Cottage is ideally situated in a quiet residential area 5 minutes from the town centre and beaches of Teignmouth (The Gem of South Devon). There are regular trains and buses to surrounding areas if required. Parking is available.

Response from the owner Sorry to hear your comments during your recent stay at Gem Cottage. Teignmouth is on a hill, so where ever you stay, you have to go down into the town and back up again. The majority of our guests travel by car and have the privilege of a dedicated parking space, but we are also on a regular bus route if you decide to walk into town but don’t fancy the 10 minute walk back to Gem Cottage. The weather again is out of our control but we are normally warmer than the rest of the country. Regarding the heating, this is set to come on automatically if the temperature drops below 21•. As pointed out on your arrival there are two additional heaters in the cottage if you should feel the cold. We live adjacent to Gem Cottage and would have been more than happy to assist if you had mentioned your concern during your stay. Gem Cottage is located in a residential area, surrounded by large, spacious Victorian houses with large gardens, very typical of the seaside town of Teignmouth.

“Very comfortable”

Weather was not kind to us, but Su was very good, we were snowed in! Unfortunately the hill was very bad for two day. But it did not put us off Teignmouth or the cottage. We will return in the summer.

How do damage deposits work?
