Swift Cottage has been awarded four stars by the Tourist Board - Visit England and for three years running has received their 'Gold Award'.

Swift Cottage is one of nine cottages in a holiday complex called Newhouse Barton, that have been sympathetically converted from the existing buildings of a working farm. Enjoying peace and quiet, the holiday cottages are set amidst pasture land, and benefit from beautiful and unforgettable views of stunning countryside. With a heated indoor swimming pool that is free to use and quality recreational facilities, Newhouse Barton has it all.

Swift Cottage has a lounge/dining area - includes 40" flat screen smart TV with inter-grated DVD player and USB recorder, games, books etc. A sofa bed that will sleep an additional person. Wood burning fire. Kitchen - includes cooker, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer etc. Ground floor bedroom with twin beds, 28" smart TV with inter-grated DVD player and en-suite shower room, carpeted staircase to open gallery area. First floor main bedroom with king size bed, 32" smart TV with inter-grated DVD and en-suite shower room. Heating, linen, towels etc all included. Free Wi-Fi. Rear access to the indoor swimming pool and games room. In addition a travel cot and high chair are available - on request.

Sunny courtyard area for barbecue, fire pit etc. or for eating al fresco.

Whether you are seeking an active family holiday or a relaxing break Swift Cottage is the perfect location for you.

Swift Cottage is also pet friendly and will accept one small dog for a small additional charge of £25.00 per stay.

You need a car to see the local sights and to get to Swift Cottage. If you drive a EV - no worries a Pod Point Electric Charger has been installed in the car-park.at Newhouse Barton. It has two sockets both charging at 7Kw, so you can top up your batteries whilst relaxing at Swift Cottage.

Interaction with guest

A 'Welcome Brochure' will be emailed/sent to guests, which includes details of the cottage, local shops, pubs, restaurants and things to do and what to visit. At the cottage will be a 'Welcome Pack' which includes milk, tea, coffee, sugar and a basket of logs - just to keep you going before you shop.

If Jacquie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
