“Amazing location and condo!” This condo is fantastic! All the comforts of home are provided for you. We took our 21 month old and the condo was equipped with a pack and play and a baby gate to use. We took our baby monitor with us and it enabled us to able to lay on the beach right in front of the condo during nap time. It was a fantastic family vacation and we'll be back again!

“Excellent property and great destination!” Our stay here was wonderful! We just came back a few weeks ago (Jan 7-14) from our trip and we are ready to book for the next year! We had such a great time: Accommodations - The apartment is very clean and modern. It has nice comfortable beds and lovely décor in every room. The kitchen is stocked with all necessary utensils and appliances. Bathrooms are clean and modern. I loved the cherry wood doors and marble countertops all around. There is a large balcony that you can eat or relax out on. Beach chairs, towels etc. is also provided for you. Beach - you can go downstairs and you are at the Bolongo Bay beach, its lovely, you have all the water sports options that you would find at a typical resort right there. If you walk past the restaurants and the hotel (5 minute walk along the beach), there is a great snorkeling spot past the rocks, very cool! We had a rental car so we also drove (about 15 min) to Smith Bay. This beach is pure heaven! It seems to be mainly visited by locals and is not crowded with perfect white sand and beautiful calm blue waters. Pool - There are a couple of pools that you can use. We used the one by the beach; it had a tap to wash off the sand as well. The pool was nice and clean and the water was pretty warm. Food - Like I mentioned you have everything you need to prepare your food 'at home' if you are on a budget or have specific dietary needs. There are many supermarkets that deliver or you can shop in a warehouse type place (CostUless) or a supermarket (Pueblo) or some local stands that are all around. There are three popular restaurants directly in the Bolongo Bay area so you don't ever have to leave the area if you choose not to: • Iggys - casual burger type place• Mims - fancier place that serves sea food• Lobster Grill - very fancy There is a lot to do on the island and its neighbors, but we have small kids so we took it easy this time and just enjoy the water. Next time we rent this apartment, we will explore the island.

“Great time at Bliss” Bliss is not large but perfect for 3 to 4 people. We enjoyed the view of Cruz Bay and the proximity to town. Cynthia has all the necessities in Bliss and it was nice to use the cooler and beach chairs. We rented a jeep from amalie at the airport in St Thomas, I would recommend renting a vehicle, as the walk to town and back is possible, but requires a lot of effort. The beaches around the island are beautiful and it is great to be able to explore. I would recommend going to Chateau Bordeaux for lunch, it has a great view of Coral Bay and wonderful food. Thanks Cynthia, you have a great villa and would love to stay again.

“Self-contained, off-the-grid mountaintop luxury with a view” Anyone who thinks living off the grid requires sacrifice of comfort clearly hasn't stayed here. Your water is provided by the rain. Your electricity is provided by the sun. A huge deck, cushy living spaces with beds in open air... windows? There aren't any. Shower? Outside. Yes, the toilets flush. And the view is a never-ending masterpiece of sea and sky. Complete privacy here on the mountain top. No neighbors.. except for an occasional island donkey. If you like quiet, romantic places, this is it. The stairs up are steep so if you can't climb, don't come here. But if you can climb stairs, you need to try this place, one of the cheapest luxuries on St. John. and one of the most powerful boosts for the soul one can imagine.

“Private and Relaxing” My best friends got married at Bolongo Bay Resort February 28th, 2015. It was an amazing experience and I am so happy for them both. We stayed just off resort at Paul and Colleen’s rental apartment, and spent a lot of time at Bolongo because of the wedding events. The apartment was clean and inviting and just what we needed after a long day. We tried to leave the apartment in the same state as we found it. We found it very clean with that rustic beach feel, which was familiar to us being from New Jersey. Important to note, I am not a lightweight, I am extra plump and had no issues getting up to the apartment and down again, multiple times a day. A previous poster had some water issues, which were repaired and we had no issues with plumbing or water while there, and the air conditioning units and fans would cool the space quickly when we came in at night and turned them on. It was a pleasure to have the space to relax in at the end of a long day, plus a full kitchen we used to make breakfast. The view of the ocean in the morning, and of Iggie's bar at night, made the balcony a nice place to sit and relax. If your idea of a great wedding is having your close family and friends being with you on this important day, and being the only wedding that day, rather than being treated like a number (the Marriott runs 4-5 weddings a day, forget it) this is the right place. You just can’t beat the view, the food, and the excellent staff at Bolongo! Everyone we spoke with had something interesting to tell us about the island, and had knowledgeable answers to our questions (which I’m sure they got asked more than 20 times a day). We ate at both restaurants on site and enjoyed the food. I had done some reading ahead of time so I knew not to expect fast service (compared to NJ or NY, mind you, we rush rush everyplace!), and enjoyed chatting and relaxing with my own husband. I found it refreshing. What a novel idea ;-) To get around we took cabs (no way we felt comfortable driving on our first visit) and the Bolongo staff was always helpful getting us a reliable cab and we always took that cab’s card in case we needed to call for one on the way back. We truly enjoyed every minute of our stay. Thank you so much, Paul and Colleen.

“Unexpected Escape” We were looking to get away from the common vacation grind, crowded pools and cookie cutter resort life and hoped to find a quiet, remote and authentic retreat. We found exactly that at the "Sea Cottage”. The sounds of the forest at night were amazing and the view spectacular. There are no homes across the valley, which adds so much to the private atmosphere. The outdoor shower was one of our favorite things about the unit, the experience of being surrounded by the forest was very unique and beyond what we had expected. It really makes you look forward to returning to the cottage after a long day of hiking and snorkeling. You won't regret it; we had an amazing time and cannot wait to go back.
