“Excellent property and great destination!” Our stay here was wonderful! We just came back a few weeks ago (Jan 7-14) from our trip and we are ready to book for the next year! We had such a great time: Accommodations - The apartment is very clean and modern. It has nice comfortable beds and lovely décor in every room. The kitchen is stocked with all necessary utensils and appliances. Bathrooms are clean and modern. I loved the cherry wood doors and marble countertops all around. There is a large balcony that you can eat or relax out on. Beach chairs, towels etc. is also provided for you. Beach - you can go downstairs and you are at the Bolongo Bay beach, its lovely, you have all the water sports options that you would find at a typical resort right there. If you walk past the restaurants and the hotel (5 minute walk along the beach), there is a great snorkeling spot past the rocks, very cool! We had a rental car so we also drove (about 15 min) to Smith Bay. This beach is pure heaven! It seems to be mainly visited by locals and is not crowded with perfect white sand and beautiful calm blue waters. Pool - There are a couple of pools that you can use. We used the one by the beach; it had a tap to wash off the sand as well. The pool was nice and clean and the water was pretty warm. Food - Like I mentioned you have everything you need to prepare your food 'at home' if you are on a budget or have specific dietary needs. There are many supermarkets that deliver or you can shop in a warehouse type place (CostUless) or a supermarket (Pueblo) or some local stands that are all around. There are three popular restaurants directly in the Bolongo Bay area so you don't ever have to leave the area if you choose not to: • Iggys - casual burger type place• Mims - fancier place that serves sea food• Lobster Grill - very fancy There is a lot to do on the island and its neighbors, but we have small kids so we took it easy this time and just enjoy the water. Next time we rent this apartment, we will explore the island.

“The Spirit On The Water was simply magical!” A group of us were visiting the Usvi on vacation for the first time and we were there for 4 days or so. The Spirit On The Water was a fantastic choice not only for a location to call "home" for the time we were there but also for the warmth and incredible hospitality of the owners!!! Both Ed and June were extremely welcoming from the moment that we arrived, they were always eager to lend a helping hand, to suggest a place to visit and to provide directions whenever we needed it. The house was impeccably clean and organized!! The location and the view are absolutely breathtaking... in fact, I think I could've spent the entire vacation just basking in the sun on the incredible infinity pool and deck that they have there!!! I would absolutely highly recommend staying there and making friends with Ed and June... they're great people, and they provide a great place with great services above and beyond anything that you might expect in a five start hotel :)

“Coqui was perfect for a family of 4 w/2 adult sons - also great” Beautiful, open air common space with stunning views and very tasteful furnishings. Spacious master bedroom and bath, well equipped kitchen, very private second and third bedrooms on lower level opposite pool. Property exceptionally well maintained, great location in Chocolate Hole. “Our third stay at Terrahawk” We originally chose Terrahawk because we wanted a nice private villa where we could walk to a north shore beach (rather than drive) because we had small children. It fit the bill, and we've returned every year since! The villa is nestled into the National Park forest, which you are sharing with geckos, iguanas, chickens and bananaquits. It has two bedrooms, with a central family room/kitchen area. All three rooms look out over a large deck with ocean views. But that's not why you came to St John! A short walk down the driveway and across the street, and you'll find yourself on a splendid coral sand beach draped in palm trees and sea grapes. Life can't get much better. Walk down in the morning or before sunset, and you'll have the entire beach to yourself. If you somehow manage to get bored with Gibney Beach, a dozen other beaches are a short drive away, including Hawksnest and Trunk Bay. Budget for a rental car, (the villa management company will arrange it for you) and about $300 to stock the refrigerator for the week. But other than that, put your wallet away and enjoy a week away from it all. I know this must sound like the place's marketing department, but that's just how much I love coming here!

“Fantabulous!!!” Catered To Vacations was very helpful during the planning stages of our "all girl vacation"!They kept us informed,answered all our many questions, and sent us great information about St John. They handled our rental car and upon arrival Michele met us as promised and guided us to our Villa.I will definately use their services again! We'll be back! Sunset Beach Villa lives up to it's name, the sunsets were beautiful!We loved our villa especially the pool area.The views were great and you could snorkle and swim as long as you had good water shoes!Watch the Bose sound system it is easy to play your music too loud, but a good way to meet your neighbors:)I would rent this Villa again! It is a perfect distance from Cruz Bay!Close enough for taxi service and not a bad drive for rookies! Blue Sky Provision Co. (Shanna Dickerson) did a great job provisioning our villa with food and beverage so we did not have to shop upon arrival. Made for a great birthday party! I would definately rate this whole vacation as wonderful!

Review #4627412 Fantastic Villa Our family spent two unforgettable weeks in late July and early august at Calicaribe, celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary, We can't say enough about Calicaribe. We loved the villa -- its layout and tasteful decor. The views of St Thomas, other islands, and Cruz Bay from the property, especially the guest house and the pool area, are breathtaking. Although the heat and humidity were high during the peak hours of each day, temperatures and humidity lowered late in the afternoon so that we could enjoy wine and cheese and the view, including spectacular sunsets, on the patio and dinner on the verandah. Pictures of the property on various websites don't do it justice. Calicaribe is much better than we expected. It is clean and very well maintained. Calicaribe is blessed with an excellent local property manager, Steve Black, who has lived in Cruz Bay for 25 years and is a constructive civic activist. Whenever we needed anything, Steve was prompt in his response. St John is truly paradise. We were fortunate to have a rental jeep to get around the island and to have our daughter and her partner do all the driving. The roads are challenging because the island is very hilly and the roads have very sharp turns, which means that one does not need to worry about exceeding the 20 mph speed limit. Opportunities for snorkeling and scuba diving abound. The beaches (St John has 39 of them) are beautiful. We swam at four of them: Trunk Bay, Little Lameshur Bay, Hawksnest Bay, and Maho Bay. We ate out only three times because my daughter's partner loves to cook, and having dinner on the verandah was a pleasant experience. The Fish Trap and Zozo's are excellent restaurants in Cruz Bay, although the latter may be too expensive for some folks. We highly recommend a sojourn at Calicaribe. You'll get plenty of bang for your bucks.
