A delightful and charming three bedroom detached period property set amid the historic Sherwood Forest. the cottage has a wealth of character with beamed ceilings, exposed wood, open fireplaces and a cottage garden making for a great place to have a holiday.
The cottage has been assessed as a FOUR STAR GOLD AWARD property by Visit Britain and awarded FOUR STARS by the AA..
The cottage is ideal for walkers, cyclists, National Trust enthusiasts and families.
Sleeping 6 in comfort The cottage nestles with the other houses in Wellow, set around the green and its famous maypole, which is still used each year.
Having been fully refurbished to a high standard with all modern comforts, come and make the most of Nottinghamshire and all there is to do with an enjoyable break at your own pace, at White Horse Holiday Cottage in Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire.
The property has a lounge with beams, exposed brick fireplace and log burner. Family room with a beamed ceiling, a roaring fireplace, sink into seating and lots of books to read. A spacious kitchen and dining area with a fully equpped kitchen. A downstairs shower room and a sauna for relaxing. Upstairs are three bedrooms each sleeping two people in comfort. a luxury four piece bathroom suite with separate shower cubicle and roll top bath. Central heating through out is included in the price.
The cottage has its own gardens with a lawn, garden furniture, garage and secure storage for bicycles. There are two inns at the heart of the village green for relaxing and enjoying a local ale and food.

Your reservation will be held for up to five days, pending payment of a deposit. A deposit of one third of the total amount is payable upon booking (non refundable). We also accept payment by most major credit and debit cards. The remaining balance is due six weeks before the start of your holiday.
Arrival at White Horse Cottage should be after 3pm on the day of arrival. We ask guests to vacate the property by 11am on the day of departure.

All linen is included in the price, fresh towels are available for hire if required. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement Smoking is allowed but not inside the cottage.

We have checked that there is adequate heating in the room to make it a warm and welcoming room for such activities. “White horse cottage”
Cottage gorgeous garden rather disappointing, BBQ area overgrown and dirty due to cherry’s and bird droppings. We had to scrub chairs to sit in garden and these were very uncomfortable a nice pair of sun loungers would be an asset to a sunny garden and maybe a screen from neighbours? Otherwise enjoyable
