Description

The Calf Shed is the smallest of our four cottages, which was the former farm house and buildings renovated into self catering cottages in 2000 The Calf Shed comprises of gallery bedroom and shower room upstairs, and open plan fully fitted kitchen and living space downstairs. This is a perfect size for that romantic getaway, being cosy and compact. situated a mile out of the historic market town of Alston your well away from the hustle and bustle of your day to day life. Its ideally located on the c2c and Pennine way, and within easy reach of many tourist attractions. There is a laundry room for guests to use, including a chest freezer, iron and board, washer and tumble dryer etc. Alston is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and has some breath taking views to admire from the local walks. We now have a Hot Tub which is shared by our 4 cottages and run on a diary system.

“Brilliant Stay”

100% would recommend staying here. Recently refurbished to a high standard. Pictures on the site do not do it justice. Lovely walks close by, nice a secluded area. Owners of the property lovely. As with all things at the moment the owners kept the Covid-19 standards high at all times, especially with the cleanliness of the hottub area. Great weekend away.
