We are able to offer our luxury caravan,that offers cozy accommodation for up to 5 people on a working sheep farm nestled in the hamlet of Skelwith Fold, a short distance from Ambleside, The van with a View provides the gateway to the Langdales , Tarn Hows, Coniston and close to the picturesque village of Hawkshead with its links with Beatrix Potter. . Within easy reach of many local attractions and ideal for sightseeing, walking, cycling or just pure relaxation. The van is well equipped with a fitted intrgrated kitchen, large seating area and dining area, TV with DVD player. Three piece bathroom suite with power shower, all the comforts of home. Step out of the van onto your own enclosed decking area with seating with a view towards the wonderful Claife Heights and Latterbarrow. The van also has enclosed private parking, but we encourage you to explore the Farmhouse Garden, use the bar-b-que. You are also quite welcome to make friends with our sheep, horses and pigs or feed the ducks on the tarn.

“Light and shadow”

Unlike the other reviews, our experiences are mixed. The environment is certainly fantastic and the landlords are really nice and helpful. The central location is a great advantage. Only: the caravan is very small, and 3 of the beds are actually only suitable for children. To be honest, the whole thing doesn't seem very well taken care of, rather outdated. The view also promised more. But overall we had a wonderful time here.

“Caravan with amazing view”

We absolutely loved our stay at the caravan. Everything you need is right there, the van is fully enclosed with its own gated driveway so really safe for children. Excellent wrap around decking with table and chair out to that amazing view. Our two loved the rope and tyre swings in the garden too. Judith and Ed are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Judith even helped us to avert a disaster by helping us find one of our escaped bunnies Perfect location to explore Ambleside and all that the Lake District has to offer!

Perfect place to stay. Clean and fully equipped. Close to all local amenities and most popular places as Wildemere lake, Ghyll force, Wrynose pass and etc.

“Beautiful place.”

We arrived at this fabulous spot in fabulous weather. The static van was advertised as having "a view" so just disappointed that the van was stuck in the middle of a farmyard, not more secluded and not with the view that was advertised in the info - there was a different view in the distance. Van was spotless and had everything you could want - bathroom facilities were terrific and the owners were very welcoming and helpful. I think it was relatively expensive for just 2 people to be honest, at that time of year.
