Description

Mini Murton House is a recently converted dog friendly self catering barn, with Finnish wood burning hot tub (not a jacuzzi) situated in the peaceful village of Murton, 4 miles from Appleby in the beautiful Eden Valley.

With stunning views towards Murton Pike this is a wonderful place to spend relaxing. The barn retains many original features, with exposed beams and large barn door, allowing lots of light to make a bright airy place.

A cosy wood burning stove and underfloor heating keep the cottage warm and toasty.2 bedrooms, main double is on mezzanine level, 2nd bedroom has a bunk, bottom bunk making into a double if required.

Modern bathroom, bath with shower overhead.Fully fitted kitchen with fridge, with freezer compartment, full size cooker with oven/grill and microwave. Large flat screen TV/DVD and wifi available. Off road parking. Parking is for 1 guest car, if you need additional parking there is room in the village. Please park appropriately so we can park in the parking bay too. South facing patio, with patio furniture.

Plenty of walks or cycling straight from the barn.Shared access, patio is not enclosed but we respect your privacy.*please note space saving stairs in property, please ensure you view photos*

There is shared access across the patio area with the owner's property.

Mini Murton House Booking Agreement

Unfortunately due to a few guests actions I now have the need to add the following points.

1. Maximum occupancy is four (4) guests only.

If extra guests stay you will not be refunded your damage deposit and you will all be asked to leave. No refund will be given.

2. Parking a mobile home nearby or people camping and then coming to use our facilities will also mean the damage deposit will not be refunded.

3. The setting is ideal for families and is peaceful and quiet. If you are wanting a lively place that accommodates music being played all night, this is really not the location for you. If your behavior causes a disturbance, this will result in you being asked to alter your behaviour or to leave when you are sober. No refund will be given if that means you are leaving early and no damage deposit will be returned.

4. The property is clean and tidy ready for your holiday and we ask for you to leave the property in a similar condition. Excessive cleaning charges will be applied at £20 per hour.

Apologies if this sounds severe, but we have now been forced to apply these points.

By booking Mini Murton House you agree to all the above conditions.

Interaction with guest

The key will be in the door, so make yourself at home. I work from home so I am usually about. I do like to pop over and see if all is ok when you arrive. Explain how the wood burner works and let you know what is going on in th area. After that you are left to your devices, I am about, just ring conservatory doorbell. I am happy to put on the wood burner for you in preparation for your return from a day out.

Response from the owner Thank you so much for your candid review. When I greeted you and showed you around the property there were no flies about then, so I am so sorry some got into the building later. I have had the bathroom redecorated since your stay. The mold (mould?) you are referring to was the discolouration of the silicon sealant around the bath this too has been re-done. I do hope that checking into the property 4 hours early was helpful to you. I may need to review this procedure and reinstate the early check in fee. Despite the list of negatives, it is really heartening to learn that you still managed to have a good week end.
