Description
This semi-detached timber-framed lodge near Saffron Walden sleeps four people in three bedrooms.Fisherman's Lodge is a welcoming timber-clad lodge overlooking a fishing lake in a countryside setting in Duddenhoe End near Saffron Walden. The cottage has a double and a twin on the ground floor, and a king-size double on the galleried area overlooking the living space. The bathroom is on the ground floor too, along with the open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is off road parking for two cars, and a patio with furniture and BBQ. Fisherman's Lodge makes a great base for enjoying the area, including trips to Cambridge, IWM Duxford and Audley End.
Amenities: Ground source heat pump heating with underfloor on ground floor. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books and games. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Patio with furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 2 miles. Note: Fishing available at half price, please contact owner for more information. Region: Picturesque rolling Fens, unspoilt beaches, and pretty waterways - East Anglia is a dream holiday destination. Norfolk offers beaches, saltmarshes and quaint villages whilst equally as charming are the coast and countryside of Suffolk.
Town: Saffron Walden is an attractive market town in Essex, with a variety of shops and eateries, and some pleasant historic buildings to discover. The town is a very convenient touring base for this part of the country, with easy access to the historic city of Cambridge, the fascinating IWM Duxford, or the beautiful house and gardens at Audley End.
