Description

Perfect mountain get-a-way less than 2 hours north of Atlanta. Nestled away between the Chattahoochee National Forest and Lake Nottley sits our 2 bedroom, 1 full-bath cabin. Located just 10 minutes from Blairsville and 30 minutes from Murphy, NC.

Things to do near the cabin: boating, hunting and fishing, boat and jet ski rentals, biking both road and mountain, kayaking, hiking, and horse back riding a mile from the house. There are several Georgia State Parks close by the cabin including Brasstown Bald and Vogel. In addition, there is the newly opened Harrah's Casino in nearby Murphy, NC.

Our cabin offers all of the modern conveniences (dishwasher, Internet, cable TV, and an outdoor grill). Our screened in outdoor patio is the perfect place for a morning cup of coffee and a good book while our outdoor deck offers prime star gazing and outdoor dining options. Our full kitchen includes all modern appliances and the ever important coffee pot.

We have owned the cabin for several years and have just now started renting it out to others as we feel our little slice of the mountains should be shared with others. We have two young children who for years have gone off to explore in the woods to find all sorts of interesting plants, insects, trees and animals. They love to go swimming in Lake Nottely which can easily be accessed through a short walk in the woods.

For those of you who own kayaks, canoes, or boats, feel free to bring your vessel and gear and enjoy a day out on the lake. Lake Nottely is known for its stripper and catfish and our kids often catch small white bass with live worms from the banks. Good sunny spots with wind are great fishing spots up there. In addition, please feel free to harvest nice worms from our garden area.

House rules

Smoking is allowed outside only. Only use appliances for their intended uses. Garbage must be stowed in a proper garbage bag (provided under kitchen sink) and placed in the garbage can located near the street mailbox by Tuesday night. The cabin is on city water and a personal septic system. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. Please DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime.

How do damage deposits work?

If Eric & Lynn (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
