PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!!: NO INSTANT BOOKING. Prior to completing a BOOK NOW and entering your credit card info "SEND US A MESSAGE FIRST" to confirm availability and rates for your dates as well as tell us about your party, any children (their ages) or pets (their breed and weight). Hawks View is a MAGICAL place but we only rent to guests who we can communicate with first prior to BOOK NOW process.

HAWKS VIEW is a 'Mountain Paradise in the Clouds'. We offer incredible VIEWS and 100% privacy with no adjacent homes or public roads in front of the house. Conveniently located only 6 miles to the town of Spruce Pine, 3 miles to Penland School of Crafts, 36 miles to Blowing Rock, and 49 miles to Asheville. We offer Dish TV, Wifi, A/C, wood-burning stove are pet-friendly and we have the BEST guaranteed VIEWS in the area.
OUR VIEWS are out of this world!!!!...our property overlooks the Black and Unicoi Mountain ranges. On a clear day, you can even see Mount Mitchell the highest point east of the Mississippi River. In the winter when the leaves drop, the view opens to a full 180 degrees from Mt. Mitchell to Roan Mountain. Enjoy your coffee in the morning on our 800 sq ft of porch/deck overlooking the fog blanketed valley below, and your cocktails in the evenings watching a spectacular mountain sunsets or cozy up to the woodstove with a good book and enjoy the sounds of rain on the tin roof. All our rooms in the house have a VIEW. A ''Mountain Paradise in the Clouds', Hawks View is truly breathtaking and certainly one of the reasons that our renters return year after year to this unique mountain rental. We GUARANTEE that you will not find another property with similar breathtaking long-range VIEWS at our competitive RATES.
PRIVACY: Hawks View offers true mountain privacy. Situated on a secluded, 4-acre tract of land with no adjacent homes and easy access off a paved road. If you desired true privacy for your mountain vacation be sure and ask other property owners how close adjacent homes are.
UNIQUE: Designed and built by an award-winning architect and resident artist from nearby Penland School, the house is a blend of both modern and traditional cabin-style architecture with an artistic touch throughout. Handmade ceramic sinks by local artists and other unique elements of creativity are unexpected treats.
LAYOUT: This home features 1400 SF of living space with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, loft, balcony plus 800 sq ft of covered porches with hemlock log columns, and handcrafted stonework. Pine hardwood floors and ceilings thru out with vaulted ceilings in the living room and loft areas. The master bedroom upstairs has a king bed, private bathroom, and its own private deck. Also upstairs is the loft with a pullout futon and game table with games, puzzles, and books supplied for guest use. The main floor has the guest bedroom with a queen bed, desk and bathroom, and a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area adjacent to the living room with TV and cozy wood stove. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from both bedrooms and all living areas.
AMENITIES: Unlike a lot of rental properties, Hawks View is fully furnished and fully equipped, as a turn-key second home for its owners. Expect all the comforts of home; FREE in house wifi, 46" Flatscreen TV with YoutubeTV, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, PBS, DVD collection, a stereo system, fully equipped kitchen with convection oven, microwave, dishwasher, many small appliances (Mr. coffee + coffee press, rice cooker, ninja blender/food processor, crockpot), gas BBQ grill, hammock, gas firepit, washer and dryer, dish detergents/soaps, a complimentary tub of wood for the woodstove (plus additional for purchase). Children are welcome however we don't recommend Hawks View for toddler age child. Please message us to discuss if you have younger children you would like to bring.
We may require longer stays than the minimum nights listed if you are booking more than 2 months in advance. We also reserve the right to book and accept reservations as they work with openings in our calendar.
