The Cottage on Parkway Loop

Asheville cottage

1 bedroom / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“Just a Great Place” We got to the cabin and were tired, we got ready to make coffee and realized we would have to go to the store to get some cream. Opened the fridge an Muffi had stocked some cream (Moo Moo Minis). I tell this story because it is the way things seemed to go for the next few days. So many of our needs were met and anticipated. The "eye candy" of the cabin was just grand, the craftsmanship superb, windows in unusual places, high quality windows, and very clean, very quiet neighborhood, easy parking, close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Biltmore. Very nicely done, As Arnold S. says "I'll be back"

Moonlit Chalet at the Preservation Stay

Asheville house

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Wonderful historic home, beautifully decorated and spacious enough to host many guests.” It was a dream come true to stay in a historical home. The property was tastefully decorated and maintained the feel from an earlier era, but yet had all of the modern conveniences we enjoy today. It was a joy to wind up the driveway each day line by the rock wall to the spacious home that awaited us. The nights were cool enough to doze of to sleep each evening by the warmth of the fire place. And the accommodations and rooms were ample enough to have family and friends as overnight guest without feeling squeezed for space. Further, we hosted several more guests for multiple dinners with ease. The spacious home provides inviting places inside and out for parties to dine and recline. The owner of the home Julie has thought of everything. Can't wait to return.

Romantic STORY BOOK COTTAGE/HotTub/King/Q/Gas FP/WiFi/Central AC/Kids & Dogs OK

Asheville cottage

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Great Stay” We had a great time in the area and the house was just the right size for our family. The massage chair was a big hit with the kids...they enjoyed it almost as much as the outdoor play area. We visited Chimney Rock, DuPont State Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway; it sure was nice to get into the hot tub after a long day hiking. We would definitely stay here or at another property from this owner.

Cloud 9 Relaxation-Mountaintop Views-Hot Tub-Peace and Quiet

Asheville house

3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“This was glorious!” My family convened from all over the U.S., to gather in Asheville for a reunion. Many of the cousins rented homes, but none were as perfect as Cloud 9 Relaxation. Everything about the house was comfortable and beautiful. We spent time on the large deck looking at the mountains in the distance and watching the humming birds close at hand. We used the hot tub, and Janet arranged for us to build a fire outside on our last night there. My adult children ere very engaged in learning about her bee keeping, fresh eggs for breakfast and the blueberry fields. Their interest in our hostess' knowledge of farm to table dining and conserving the land gave them a learning experience.. Our memories will last a lifetime. And, we will return!

Peaceful Romantic Asheville Cottage Hot Tub, Wi-Fi

Asheville house

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“Cozy Cottage” We stayed at the lovely Red Gate Cottage in November for 4 days. It was perfect for 6 girlfriends on a get away. It has everything you could possibly need and the grocery is just down the road. We were unable to utilize the fire pit because of the burning ban but the fireplace was on while we were there and it just made it all the more cozy. There is so much to do in the Asheville area. We spent 3 days visiting the Biltmore during their Christmas event which was money well spent, but there is so much more to do there and the Red Gate Cottage is central to it all. Georgia was so thoughtful with the wine, cookies and leaving the lights on for our after dark arrival. The only downfall is that there are not mountain views but everything else is absolutely perfect. We'll look forward to staying here again in a heartbeat!

ROSE COTTAGE: Private/Pool/HotTub/King & Queens/MassageChr/Kid & Dog Friendly!

Asheville cottage

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 8

““Beautiful Home for a Fantastic Vacation Getaway!”” My husband found this location online and stayed with some golfing friends a few years ago. Due to their wonderful experience, we decided to book the Rose Cottage for our family spring break vacation. Needless to say, I was extremely impressed with the location, the home and the property. The home is beautifully decorated and has all the necessary amenities for a true "home away from home" experience. We took advantage of the hot tub and fire pit each day and night. We also spent many hours playing with our 9 year old in the backyard. And, being able to do laundry before returning home was truly the icing on the cake! The close proximity to the interstate/main roads made it very easy to travel to local attractions. We look forward to returning in the future and being able to enjoy this place again and again. We highly recommend this to anyone visiting the Asheville or surrounding area.

Elegant Downtown Home, 4 Min to Biltmore Estate

Asheville house

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Warm, charming home and hostess!” Our sons live in asheville, and we had wanted to stay there for Christmas for a couple of years. The one non-negotiable amenity was a fireplace---Green Gables has 3! The home is lovely, and our hostess Georgia even more so. When she discovered a few hours before our arrival that we would be celebrating Christmas the next day, she redecorated the house with wreaths and a small lighted tree, set out wine and cookies, and addressed every member of our party by name in a welcome note. We were very impressed with the level of attention she gives her guests, personally taking care of all the details from booking to follow-up emails. The house is cozy and comfortable, with an old-fashioned soaking tub, gas range, large-screen TV, electronics, internet access, laundry facilities, wonderful beds...just like home, only better! We had fun cooking in the well-equipped kitchen with goodies we bought at the local food co-op. The house is close to downtown, and in better weather we could easily walk to many places we like to go in asheville. We visited the Biltmore Estate, the Southern Craft Guild shop, rode on the Blueridge Parkway, and of course had chocolate extravagance at the French Broad Chocolate Lounge. Doc Chey's restaurant on Biltmore Street provided perfect chicken soup for our son who was under the weather. (It was so good, we revisited the next day for lunch.) Georgia provides a large book with information on all these, which helped us plan our days. We have stayed for shorter periods of time in asheville over the past few years, always in hotels. Our week at Green Gables has cured us of that, and we will stay in our new "home in the mountains" whenever we can in the future!

Best View Hideaway

Weaverville house

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Lovely house with a gorgeous view.” I stayed at Best View Hideaway with two of my BFFs. Plenty of room for all of us. The king sized bed is HUGE, it was as if I wasn't sharing a bed. The house is clean, tastefully decorated (not cheesy vacation cottage decorated). Well stocked kitchen equipment wise. I've been to some vacation rentals where you could cook an entire meal without going to the grocery. The fridge and cupboards were bare other than, a jar of mustard, salt, pepper, olive oil...and 4 bags of coffee. I kind of liked it this way because I didn't have to guess if something was safe to use. The view is gorgeous. The farm is fun to walk around. The horses are friendly and the donkeys are adorable. The barn is fun to walk around in. Dianne is super nice and brought fresh eggs as soon as I arrived. My friend who eats vegan 98% of the time ate eggs. That's how special they were. The hot tub is huge and good for star watching. Huge back deck. The three of us grrls grilled out with my brother and his gal. Nice to be able to visit friends and family at the same time. I love this place.

Cabin in the Clouds

Black Mountain house

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Awesome view, great value” We spent 3 nights at the cabin and loved it. We had a bit of trouble figuring out that the street that has a sign calling it E. State Street is Old US 70, but once we figured that out, we got the hang of finding our way to the cabin. I wouldn't suggest making the drive for the 1st time in the dark. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the back porch every day for the amazing sunset. Despite having only 1 bedroom, the cabin feels bigger due to the open kitchen/dining/living space. We didn't cook but the appliances and kitchen seemed well equipped. I did have to contact the owner because I couldn't get the tv to display any channels. Unfortunately he didn't return my call (I left a voicemail) and I called again the next day. When I reached Larry the next day, he put me in touch with a local caretaker and I was able to resolve the issue over the phone. It might be helpful for the owner to leave a back up local number if for some reason you can't reach him. In this case, it was a minor issue so no problem. Overall, I would highly recommend this cabin as it is exactly as described.

Hot tubs for Fall on the River in Bat Cave NC & Massage Chairs, Fire Place

Bat Cave cottage

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“The Best Mountain Trip Ever!” We stayed at the Bat Cave River Cottage 3 bedroom on 6/25-6/29/2015. It was amazing. There were 6 of us in the house. 4 adults and 2 children (ages 6&7). From the moment we arrived we just knew the good times that were ahead of us. The house is situated in the PERFECT spot. Directly on the Broad River literally. The sound of that river alone made the trip. Three wonderful bedrooms and two bathrooms made everything effortless. We cooked all but 3 meals in the house. The kitchen is loaded so there is nothing that you need except what you want to cook. The house is super clean and well kept. The best part to us was the deck out back. Between the hot tub, grill, and river that seems to be where we were most of the time. At night there were so many lightning bugs that the whole outside sparkled. I honestly can not say enough good things about this house of the homeowners. I will definitely be returning to this house!

Rustic Elegance in a Custom Designed Mountain Home

Fletcher house

3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“Truly a one-of-a-kind home!” "I have had the privilege of staying in this beautiful home many times. The first thing that takes you in is the amazing view, no matter the time of year. Sipping coffee (hot or iced!) while rocking on the porch swing is one of my very favorite places to be. When you walk in this home, decorated with a rustic elegance, the first thing you feel is peace...amazing peace, as you realize you are actually in a modern-day tree house! It is comfortable and classy, and all of the artistic touches just make me marvel. It is a one of a kind home, perfect for families or couples. For a true vacation getaway, this mountain retreat stands alone among anything else out there."

Sharon Spring Wellness Retreat Ashville Mountains

Fairview log cabin

/ 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Serene Mountain Getaway” Thoroughly enjoyed this location with our girls and canine family members. The location was perfect for us as we wanted a more rustic mountain setting with views, but easy access into Asheville to go to restaurants, breweries and shopping. Kendall was a super friendly host and provided us with welcomed amenities from her mini-spa. The massages and sauna were particularly appreciated after a long mountain hike. And, gathering in the hot tub on a starry, frigid night, was something we looked forward to at the end of each day. This place will not disappoint for relaxing and getting away from it all. Thanks, Kendall.
