“Tamarind Villa - paradise!” Tamarind Villa is the perfect place to stay on Bequia. The villa is furnished to a very high standard with everything you would possibly need for your holiday. It is well laid out, spotlessly clean and has the most amazing view. It is pure luxury!

“Wonderful place to vist and return” I am writing this review about Limehouse, in the Spring area of the beautiful island of Bequia. Bequia is one of the Grenadines, in the country of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. I have been traveling to Bequia with my family for more than 20 years, having visited over 15 times during these years. We love the island, for it is truly a paradise that has not been spoiled by overzealous developers or franchise businesses. It is truly a 'real' and homey place, with people who are friendly and open to visitors. We are particularly enamored with Limehouse, and have stayed there with our two children the last eight or more times we have been on the island. The accommodations are simply wonderful. Limehouse is on a ridge above the ocean where the views are spectacular! The cottage and studio are both extremely attractive, very clean, and are beside one of the prettiest pools and barbeque areas you will find anywhere. We typically stay in the Cottage, a two bedroom, two bath house with just the right amount of space, a beautiful porch area, and fantastic landscaping. The owners, Josephine and allan Gabriel, have become wonderful friends to this family, and our children, now 15 and 21 years of age, truly look forward to visiting because of their love and respect for the Gabriels. Our daughter is certain that she will get married on Bequia and stay at Limehouse (needs to meet a guy first!), and my wife and I plan to visit every winter for a month as soon as we can slow down from dual careers. My only concern in writing a truthful review of Limehouse is that it might mean we have a harder time booking, but that is a chance I am willing to take in order to accurately communicate the wonders of this place.

“Can't wait to go back!” We had an amazing time on our girls getaway to beautiful Bequia. My friends and I wanted to go on one last trip before one of us got married. We needed to stay somewhere special, spacious and relaxing, and didn't want to be jammed into a hotel room. It was 8 of us so space was essential. Sadewa Villa was the perfect place. It had all the space we needed and the house was modern and truly lovely. Even better, it seemed like we were on our own private island because there was nobody around even though were were only a few minutes from the beach and town. About Bequia
One of the lovely Grenadines Islands, Bequia is a classic Caribbean town. Surrounded by white sand beaches and crystal waters, it is the ideal place to relax. Best of all, Bequia is rarely overcrowded, with long and beautiful strips of sand where you can really get away from it all. Spend your days relaxing on the shore then take a sunset cruise on the water in the evening.
On Bequia, relaxing in the sun doesn't necessarily mean lying on the beach all day. For scuba diving, there are more than 25 dive sites around the island, many boasting such interesting marine life as moray eels and sea turtles. Windsurfers will enjoy the continuous breeze of the trade winds, while fishing enthusiasts can charter a boat to catch marlin, tuna, and even barracuda! Bequia is also popular for yachting and sailing, with large crowds gathering on the island for the annual Bequia Easter Regatta. On land, there are plenty of day spas and tennis clubs, as well as several hiking trails through the island's lush mountains.
There is an old fashioned charm to the beachfront bars and restaurants in the island's capital city of Port Elizabeth. Here, you can enjoy a delicious French, Italian, or West Indian meal under the shade of an umbrella. Wooden model boats are a specialty of the island, sold in small boutiques and craft shops throughout Port Elizabeth. There are also a few fine art galleries, selling paintings and sculptures made by Bequia residents.
When in Bequia, head to the following destinations:
- Princess Margaret Beach: Take a water taxi from Port Elizabeth to this gorgeous, secluded beach.
- Hope Bay: You can hike to the quiet beach at Hope Bay, a great place for sunbathing and body boarding.
- Friendship Bay: Enjoy a cool drink in the shade while relaxing on the white sand shores of Friendship Bay, one of Bequia's most popular strips of sand.
- Friendship Rose: Take a tour of the beautiful ocean around Bequia on the Friendship Rose, an enormous schooner.
- Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary: Get up close and personal with the wonderful hawksbill turtles on this Park Beach wildlife preserve, operated by a local fisherman.
- Lower Bay: A wonderful beach for swimming and snorkeling, Lower Bay is filled with fun restaurants and bars, yet retains a laid-back atmosphere.
