“Week in paradise” First time to the island and the vacation was great especially with the accommodations at the Pink Sand Cottage. Perfect for the two of us and loved the views from inside and outside the house of nothing but beach and water. I'm not sure how it is other times of the year but almost every day we were the only ones on the beach. Maybe just timing but it felt as though we were the only ones on the island at times and having the peace and quiet was much needed. Thanks to Ken and adele for a great week and hope to be back soon! “Lovely vacation home!” My husband and I just had the most romantic, secluded, perfectly relaxing vacation while renting the Palmetto Sunrise Villa in Eleuthera this May 2013. The location was great for visiting Governor's Harbor, and a short 10-15 minute drive to several great places to eat (we ate out often at Tippy's and The Beachhouse). The homeowners have been friendly and helpful in every way possible to assist with our planning of activities, from flights into the island to exploring the beaches. We were most impressed with the large notebook made for guests and used the information in it every day. The book has detailed directions for finding one's way to the special beaches of Eleuthera (photos of landmarks along the way included), and up-to-date notes on who to talk to for scheduling tours, and recent details on local restaurants. The Palmetto Sunrise Villa is luxuriously furnished, completely well-equipped and decorated in a lovely manner with many tropical paintings and sea-motif arrangements of shells and sea fan. Everything was top notch and meticulously maintained. It is readily evident that the homeowners care deeply about keeping their villa in top condition and it is heartwarming that they are so open to sharing this beautiful island and its many special attractions with guests who are fortunate enough to choose to rent the Palmetto Sunrise for a vacation. One of our favorite activities was viewing the incredibly starry night skies. We also enjoyed daily walks both on the roads and along the beaches in both directions from the house. The breeze off the atlantic was always cool and refreshing. We walked to the nearest restaurant, at the Unique Resort and enjoyed having drinks there. They have a beautiful beach and great views from the restaurant. The best thing about our stay in Eleuthera was the harmony with nature, warm climate, friendly people, clear water and escape from crowded civilization to a much more leisurely pace.

“marvelous” We spent 15 marvellous days at Blueskies cottage! The house is very clean and full of everything things you need, and it's really the perfect cottage to spend a faboulous holiday also with all the family (we were mummy, daddy, and two kids 6 and 8 years). We walked into Horizon House at 10pm and with the flip of a light switch, my breath was taken away and I knew that the sunrise would hold untold wonders. The cool ocean breeze blowing through the sliding doors softly and sweetly greated us, beckoning us to take a load off and rest a while. Morning did not disappoint. We rolled over to sprawling sea views and a glimpse into the picturesque town off Governor's Harbour. What adventures awaited us in this magical land? We lazily began our day exploring the house. Sea glass and driftwood countertops, tropical furniture all wrapped up by a porch that looks out onto pure beauty. We strolled to the home's water front and played a while before setting out on our adventures. Horizon House is surrounded by pink and white sand beaches and every shade of blue water you can imagine. The cuisine in Governor's Harbour is a foodie's dream come true. Local and international flavors abound. Horizon House is perfectly situated to help you discover all that Eleuthera has to offer, there really is so much to explore on land and in the sea. Tranquility

Wow, where to even begin, my lovely wife and I decided to take a different type of vacation that we are normally used to doing, opted for the more secluded, not as crowded less stimulating venue that we are normally accustomed to, and by no means were we disappointed, we could not have dreamed of actually finding a spot on earth with the quite and seclusion that Pink Sand Cottage offers The cottage is everything that it is advertised and then some, excellent condition, cozy, romantic, absolutely perfect for two people, and it is right on the ocean, just sitting on the deck gazing out across the water can take up hours of your time, then the star gazing at night is just phenomenal, people talk of all the beautiful beaches on the island, but in the 2 weeks time that we were there we just could not pull ourselves away from the stunning beach outside the backdoor. We did manage to tear ourselves away a few times to enjoy the restaurants in the area, and with us both being vegetarians it was a great surprise that they do have veggie options, I would have to say our favorite was the 1864, which is the old club med property. Then saving the best for last would be the owner himself Ken, what a jewel of a human being, thoughtful, kind, great conversationalist, knows everything about the area, just can not say enough about him.
