“Perfect stop & go on our way to weekend in the city” This was the perfect stop & go on Thursday evening as we were staying downtown for the weekend to see Dave Matthews, Vicki greeted us after arrival, answered any questions we had, and we had complete privacy from that point on. The fridge was stocked with drinks and breakfast items, and the kitchen was ready to prepare a meal had we opted to have dinner in. We used Uber for trips as everything is very close to Vicki's place! Very affordable in comparison to hotel but all the amenities of home! Thanks Vicki! Melanie & Eric

“Absolutely Relaxing” This cabin is so relaxing to stay at. The sound of the river right outside puts you to sleep at night. We slept with the windows open all nite. The Pictures do not do this cabin justice. The stone walls are something to behold. The kitchen has every appliance and utensil you could ever use all you need is your food. The beds are comfortable. The owners have gone out of their way to make sure you know of all the local area hiking, boating and restaurants that are available in the area. We really would love to stay here again. It is off the beaten path and once you get there you never want to leave.

“Goosepond Glory” Stayed in this cottage for three nights. My boyfriend joined me on the first night, and my immediate family came for the second two nights. We had such a great time. The owners and housekeepers kept the place well stocked with things that you always forget to bring (bug spray, lighter for the fire, etc.). There were lots of birds around the area, and it was peaceful and serene. If you're from the city, make sure to look at the stars at night, and check out the beautiful sunset.

“Perfect getaway” Is this edited version ok to put on the website? We just had the most relaxing time at Mountain Dream Cabins. We went with very little expectation as this was our first mountain getaway after moving to Charlotte 7 months ago. We absolutely loved it. The cabins are so you have a lot of privacy and we like that a lot. It was great to unwind and disconnect from the world for a short time. “Quiet, lovely, spacious - so much more than just a cabin!!” The Acorn Cabin was such a pleasant surprise. We weren't sure what to expect as another member of the family made the plans. It was the perfect place to host our family reunion. John and Linda had everything for family fun including horse shoes, badminton and lawn jarts. They are incredibly friendly, caring and helpful! They know the area well and were full of great suggestions for hiking and biking. The cabin itself is huge! More than enough space to move around. The bedrooms are plenty big and the kitchen is perfect for making meals with everything you could need. And if you can't find it? Linda and John will hook you up! The porches both front and back were our favorite. It rained a few days and the porches were the perfect spot to still enjoy being outside. Loved watching the fire flies at dusk while sipping on a glass of wine. Simply awesome! If you want to get away without getting really far away, this is a great spot. Lots to do and explore. We can't wait to go back!! Thanks John and Linda!!!

“Awesome experience” Our stay at your cabin was great. The cabin was spotless. My son loved that you had a separate tv for video games! The amount of space was perfect for our group of eight. My only suggestion is to add an iron and ironing board. I probably overlooked the fact that you didn't have one when I booked and read about your amenities. I'm so used to places having them. Also I saw a washer/dryer connection. That would've been nice too. Overall we had an excellent stay and can't wait to book again next year!!

“Rest and Relaxation in the Mountains” Excellent Rental unit. Well appointed, with every amenity one could think of. The condo is impeccably clean. The pictures can only be faulted in that they don't do this place justice. We enjoyed the quiet of the mountains, with the accessibility of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the National Park within minutes. Do not be daunted by the drive up the mountain, it is well paved, and streets are marked and are easy to read. Even at night, it was really quite simple. We were pleased with the small "extras" we found around the unit: menus for delivery restaurants, decks of cards, board games, DVD's, extra pillows, and plenty of guide books and tips. The owners are very accommodating and respond quickly to inquiries and booking. I would not hesitate to book this unit or suggest it to a friend. Thank you again!

“Fantastic place to recharge” In short this is just a wonderful place to visit and stay and was worth the 7 hour trip from Silver Spring MD. Other reviews have said better then I could how lovely this place is. I'll just try to add on by noting a small things about the TV and internet that I noticed wasn't mentioned much by others. The picture shows there is a TV but its a bit dated in that it is no longer a big butt TV but a good sized flat screen with HDMI outputs. So if your young and tech savy like we are and like to play your movies off your laptop/hard drive then it is completely possible. However, Bill has a great collection of DVDs with a wide range from light-hearted comedies to Oscar worthy dramas and thus we just ended up take advantage of his selections after relaxing in the hot tub and pouring a glass of wine at sunset. (the mountain view is unbeatable) No wireless but I was able to check work emails on my phone the one time I checked just in case something required my attention. Definitely not an area where streaming videos is seamless but for me disconnecting from the internet was a big appeal to me anyways and think you would find it is too.
