“Super location - highly recommend” Stayed with spouse and two teenaged children while visiting family. The condo was located in an area with a lot of restaurants within walking distance that worked for both groups. It was well stocked and really comfortable. Two king bedrooms were large and comfortable and there was a quality pull out as well. Easy access to downtown attractions. Happy we found it and will stay again next time in town.

“Great House!” We stayed for Ford Iron Man for 5 nights. 7 adults, 2 teens, 1 child. Stunning home- not your average rental house, but a huge, stately place that still has everything from plasma TVs to wifi. We arrived a little early to find the homeowner and housekeeper still prepping house. A little awkward, but the rest of the stay was perfect. Also, ALL 3 of us FINISHED THE RACE!!! My husband's two teenage girls loved the neighborhood and my sister's little boy played in the nearby park.

About Louisville

Most people already know that Louisville, Kentucky is the home of the legendary Kentucky Derby. But this iconic American city in the heart of Kentucky bluegrass country offers more than just its equestrian heritage and its famous baseball bat factory. It's also a fun, inspiring, world-class family vacation destination. Every year visitors come from all over the country to explore Louisville museums and art galleries, to relax in the city's green parks, and to wander through its charming historic neighborhoods. Come to Louisville to learn more about the history of baseball and horseracing, two great American pastimes. While you're here, experience first class shopping, award winning restaurants, and an energetic nightlife.

Begin your adventures with a stay in a luxury private vacation rental. An elegant downtown apartment or summer home can offer all the space and amenities your family needs and is often less expensive than a hotel. Wake up each morning and watch the sun rise over the city from your condo balcony, then head out to explore the streets and start making vacation memories.

Here are a few additional suggestions for your trip:

  • Visit the Speed Art Museum: As one of the most popular Louisville museums, this gallery features the work of several contemporary artists as well as famous pieces by Rembrandt, Picasso, and Rubens.
  • Visit the Kentucky Derby Museum: The exhibits at this museum take a visitor through the life of a Kentucky Derby racehorse from birth to the race track of Churchill Downs. Churchill Downs tours are also offered by museum guides.
  • Take a walking tour of Old Louisville and historic Frankford Avenue: These elegant old neighborhoods showcase the architecture, storefronts, and quiet charm of an earlier era.
  • Take a lesson at the Louisville Equestrian Center: Take private one-on-one lessons from a patient horseback riding instructor or participate in equi-cize classes.
  • Tour the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory: A six-story baseball bat stands up against the side of this famous building where tours are available all year round.
  • Visit the Louisville Zoo: This modern and well-maintained zoo is also a world-class research facility and education center.

This place makes the ideal destination for Louisville wedding venues, family reunions, or weekend getaways. You'll have no trouble finding the perfect condo in Louisville where you can relax and host your family and friends in style. While you're visiting Louisville, consider side trips to nearby destinations like Clarksville and St. Matthews.

2 bed/2.5 bath Historic District Luxury Townhouse
Spacious, calm, perfect location

My adult siblings and I needed a place to stay in the Highlands as our mother had passed away suddenly. This was the perfect spot to stay in Lousiville and be in the Highlands. Because it was a townhouse, the two huge bedrooms were upstairs, providing privacy and retreat. The beds had terrific mattresses, and generously-sized bathrooms and closets. We were also grateful to have access to laundry in the townhouse, as we all had traveled several thousand miles and could not bring many changes of clothes. The ground floor had an open plan which allowed for get-togethers with our local family members and each other; the kitchen was fully equipped, organized efficiently; refrigerator large. The living room had fold-out couch options but we did not need them. Overall, the townhouse was nicely furnished - warm without being fussy; contemporary without being cold, not too much furniture so there as plenty of room for luggage and trappings of travel. Within very short walking distance to multiple excellent restaurants, from upscale to corner bars; and two blocks from a large Walgreens. The owner was immensely helpful and kind in every regard.see more

Wonderful house, great location for family gathering.

This charming house was the perfect place for our family to just enjoy being together. The location is perfect: easy access to roadways to take us in all directions so we could enjoy the city and just as easily travel along the Bourbon Trail, loads of great restaurants within walking distance, lovely residential neighborhood. And the house is comfortable, too. Lots of space for playing games, watching TV, with spots for peace and quiet, too. The weather did not cooperate (it was either very hot or raining for most of our stay) so we could not make use of the lovely outdoor area. Next time...see more

Old world Charm, Modern needs met. Close to everything cool in L

Wow. What can I say? The first time I was here I was blown away. I felt like alice in Wonderland who had just found the bottle labeled "drink me" The ceilings are so high! I have never been in a private home like this. The attention to detail, the modern upgrades in things like heated bathroom and kitchen floors really provide it all! One of the women in my group loves to cook and couldn't stop talking about the kitchen features like warming drawers and something. I was fascinated by the town and all it's charms. Steps from the house is this amazing Cave Hill Cemetary and Botanical garden. The owner provided all kinds of tips about great places to go. I highly recommend this home for a girls weekend because it is located not too far from lots of cities. I have rented this home 3 times now with different groups and would for sure come back again.see more
