“Cottage holiday in ravenglass” The position of the cottage for exploring the South West area of the lake district is perfect. The accommodation on a working farm had everything you could wish for and was clean and spacious, with a lovely view towards the mountains. The only thing lacking was an outside area to sit and enjoy a barbecue with the lovely view. The owners were friendly and helpful.

“A very peaceful location” The cottage was wonderfull, we had a warm reception when we arrived. A nice bottle of wine and some fresh free range eggs awaited us. The countryside and surrounding areas were very pleasant & peaceful. The town was only a matter of 10mins drive away & it was easy to explore the area and further afield. All in all a very good week.

“perfect location, perfect accommodation” This is a perfect cottage for two. It is surprisingly spacious, with a very well appointed kitchen, comfortable seating, exceptionally large bathroom with plenty of hot water. It is spotlessly clean. The added bonus is the parking space and proximity to ambleside. Wifi would have been the icing on the cake but there were plenty of wifi cafes and pubs in ambleside. The booking procedure and key arrangements were straight forward. We loved it and will be going back later this year

“Fantastic Group MTB Honeymoon!” We stayed at White Gables in end of april 2013 as part of a group of 12 Mountain Bikers. We were actually all on the honeymoon of two of the riders who had got married during the week! We had such a fantastic stay, in fact it was no less than perfect! The welcome was fantastic by the owners who we felt couldn't do enough for us. The property itself is spacious, modern, clean and warm and the layout suited us down to the ground with the lounge and kitchen area perfect for communal living, seating large groups comfortably. There are plenty of lovely bathrooms for all which is ideal when you are mountain biking and the property is situated very close to the local pub which is perfect for a group of bikers. We also had a meal there which was fantastic. So sorry for all the 'perfects' and 'fantastics' but I can't find any other words to describe our stay at White Gables. Book with confidence...we will be returning hopefully soon!

“Absolutely delightful!” Raceside Cottage is an absolute jewel of the Lakes! From the scrummy cakes and bread as a welcome gift, to the well thought out books and visitor leaflets for planning days out, Raceside Cottage had it all! We had a relaxing week in august including the dog - the accommodation was of the highest standard and had every utensil you could have needed. The bedrooms were cosy with plenty of storage, lovely bathroom and a great open plan kitchen/lounge. It was just a 15minute walk from the beach and the King William pub 2 mins away, does a fab steak! Although on the West coast, most visitor attractions were within easy driving.
