“Perfect Place and Location” We recently returned from a weekend bachelor party with 20 people. I can't speak highly enough of the place, location,and Nancy. We could walk to Shady Gators or H. Toads. We had plenty of room for everyone to hang out, play games, relax and enjoy. There is even a nice yard with a fire pit for relaxing around. Nancy was very accomidating and arranged a full breakfast buffet for us at Mommas Market at MM5.5 which was very good and a great start to the day for the party. I am excited to book this place again next year for sure!

“It's Delightful, It's Delicious, It's De-lovely!” One would think that Cole Porter wrote those lyrics after visiting Ye Olde Manor House! The owners, Karen Fulbright-Anderson and John anderson, are a delightful, warm, welcoming couple. They are so friendly and engaging that you feel at home almost as soon as you arrive. And their home reminds me of an English Country Cottage with the many comfortable seating areas and nooks and crannies expected. There is also a beautiful green lawn with several flowering beds and many lovely spots for sitting. But the piece de resistance of the public areas is the year-round indoor/outdoor pool, with a depth of no more than 5 feet, which makes it perfect for swimmers and non-swimmers (me) alike. First, and most importantly, each guest room has it's own private bath stocked with lovely smelling potions and lotions, big, soft, fluffy bath towels and anything else that you might need. Second, the rooms are lovely. I stayed in the 'Oak Room', which is filled with antique oak furniture and is perfect for one person. There is a chair for reading, a beautiful antique trunk that you can sit on use for your luggage and antique lamps, doilies and trinkets. There were two other guest rooms nearby, but I slept like a baby and never heard anyone else! The breakfast that John and Karen offer negates the need for lunch! You have a choice of Vegan, Vegetarian or the Meat and Dairy eaters breakfast, and everything they prepare is delicious! Finally, there are plenty of other things to do nearby-walking around the Lake, hiking, visiting the quaint Town of Elkhorn, attending concerts and, my favorite, antique fairs!! My long weekend at Ye Olde Manor House was so enjoyable and relaxing that it left me feeling as though I'd spent a week at a spa. Writing about it is making me feel the same way all over again. I can't wait to visit again!!!

“Wow! You'll love the Red Sunset!” Are you looking for a luxury guesthouse near Lake Arenal and Arenal Volcano? If so, look no further and book yourself into the Red Sunset. My husband and I, along with six friends, spent a week in March there. We are so glad we did! We found the accommodations to be everything they were advertised and more. The views are amazing and the house, pool house and grounds will give you plenty of opportunities to relax and explore. While the guesthouse is excellent, the very best feature is the owner/operator Patrick. Patrick met with us each day to help us plan activities and make reservations with the best tour operators. His local knowledge and recommendations were spot on each day, and his help was invaluable. The breakfast provided each morning was a highlight unto itself. Come prepared to eat well – you won’t be disappointed. We’ve never had meals of this quality at similar style lodgings. We also took advantage of the optional evening Chef services. While there were several great places to eat in the Lake Arenal area, all of which were recommended to us by Patrick, you won’t beat the meals prepared by Patrick and his wife. Our favorite was the Chicken Parmesan – sorry, Mom, but it was the best we’ve had anywhere! The Red Sunset was the perfect place for our Costa Rica vacation. We arrived as guests and soon felt like family. We’re glad we chose the Red Sunset!

“Excellent little getaway” My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon. The cabin was beautiful and well kept. The hot tub was very clean. We could hear traffic sometimes but not enough to really be bothered. This is a wonderful place to stay near some great national parks, and right outside the lively town of Helen. We couldn't have been happier with our stay.

“A wonderful house in a wonderful setting” My wife and I so enjoyed our time in the Stones' house on a lake. It is beautiful with all the needs any visitor could want. I enjoyed boating on the lake, seeing eagles and other creatures. The folk we encountered in the area were all friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the local church. “i am reborn” what an amazing experience this winter was,[dec 1-feb17] with these wonderful hosts. i admit reluctance describing how great it was because then there will never be a vacancy!! everything written in the previous reviews is true. i especially liked their friendliness and sociability while respecting my privacy and need for quiet time. ajijic was a wonderful choice for a first-time snowbird and this location was perfect for me. several local acquaintances expressed their approval with very 'green' eyes.

“Home away from Home” Traveled with my children and grandchildren for a Disney family vacation and this home was very warm and inviting for everyone. The pool was a huge plus for the grandchildren after a long day at the parks. Working with the owners for over a year prior to our arrival was a pleasure. They were so accommodating when an unexpected medical issue forced me to be hospitalized and Mike was able to let my son and grandson get in a day early to get ready for the rest of the family. I highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone who is travelling to the Clermont area.

“Fantastic” We could not speak more highly of this beautiful and well positioned villa. The managing agents are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. The pool was always warm and inviting. “An Excellent Place To Stay” I don't normally give the houses I've rented the "highest" rating, nor do I normally write reviews in the first place, buy I feel compelled to do so for Arenal Springs Villas. For the simple reason that, in the past when I've rented houses on-line, pictures posted have usually overstated how nice the homes and surrounding area actually was. Not they were bad, just that the their pictures left me with high expectations. But Arenal Springs was/is different. In my opinion, the pictures just can't quite capture how nice the houses/villas, the grounds, and the surrounding area, actually are. And that's why we keep going back.
