“great fishing and hospitality” I started out planning a fishing trip months prior to my arrival at Vosburghs Custom Cabins. I contact Betsy who was an angel in telling me about the area I was visiting, what I was to expect, what I needed to bring, and that she and her crew would take care of the rest. About a month prior to my visit I received a e-mail from the resort just checking in and wanted to see if I had any questions, which is a first on my many fishing experiences to Ely. Upon arrival Betsy greeted me with a cold drink and wanted to know how my trip was and took the time to get to know me and what my needs might be on my trip. Her cabin/office looks over Moose lake and is possibly one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. I met Willy Vosburgh on the way to my cabin, he helps run the operations as well, and he informed me about my boat that was waiting at the dock, asked if I needed bait, and help get me my permits to enter the park for the next day. My Cabins was absolutely fantastic, the custom wood work really made the cabin all that I was told it would be. The large ready to use kitchen had all the necessities; large fridge, stove, microwave, coffee pot, and all the utensils needed to cook our meals.The cabin had a nice living room area with couch and wood burning stove, large bedrooms, and an attached screened in front deck to sit and look at the scenery. The set up for fishing was very nice, we had a large V hull aluminum boat with a new 25 HP motor which made it easy to start and drive. The main dock had a helpful guy by the name of Greg who helped with all our gas, bait, seats, etc.. which made fishing everyday easy. I hired a guide the first day who's name was Paul, who showed us how to fish these lakes, what lures were working and how to use them, I highly recommend hiring him for your first day, we caught a ton of nice fish. I had a wonderful time on my trip and would recommend this resort to anyone who loves fishing, hiking, boating, or simply great scenery.

“Deserves more than 5 stars!” This cabin was absolutely amazing. My husband and I went here for our 5 year wedding anniversary this past weekend for a little getaway and couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place. It was quiet and tucked away in the woods. No close neighbors. Peaceful. Everything we needed! We took our snowmbobile out on the trails for over 6 hours. We snow-shoed the next day down a few trails and to the lake. The weather was perfect. We saw several deer while on the trails. The cabin was breath-taking. The fireplace and bathroom were gorgeous. We woke up both mornings to the sun on the tops of the trees. It has a amazing views of the forest. The quality and craftsmanship of the cabin were perfect. You can definitely feel the love that was put into this cabin by annie, the owner. Annie even stopped by one night to make sure everything was perfect. What a great host!! There are some places you go where you can't wait to pack up and get back to your home and reality. You will not want to leave this place. It was so hard to pack up and drive away. We will definitely come back again and would recommend Eleanor to anyone!

“A Perfect Fit” We loved our stay here - the house has that rustic, old school cabin feel, but with a modern kitchen and bathroom (very important!). There's lots of outdoor space for the kids to play, quiet neighbors, and you're not too far from area attractions if you feel like an outing. We also loved the view - there are no structures across the lake from the house, so it feels extra reclusive. Would definitely come again!

“It has it all!!!!!” Best place to stay, to experience all Minnesota has to offer. Beautiful cabin with all the amenities you could think of and even ones you didn't. Plenty of room. Gorgeous location. Great for romantic couples trip, or family get togethers. The owners are nearby on property, however you never see them unless you have a request. They were out of town for most of our stay, but did wait for us to arrive to give us a quick tour and answer any questions. Small towns nearby whether for groceries, dining or hitting up the movie theatre. We stayed in winter this time. Can't wait to go back in the summer and bring the kids!

“Excellent relaxing place to be with family and friends any time” This is a great place to spend time at durning the summer. It is quiet, relaxing, affordable, newly updated, and surrounded by beautiful trees. There are many things to do there with an awesome sandy beach and access right to the lake. We enjoy laying on the beach, swimming, playing beach volleyball, and having access to the pantoon, paddle boats, and lake raft. There are even docks where you can keep your own boat while staying there. With all the trees and wildlife we enjoy going for walks. It is located close to Mapplewood State Park, various resturants, grocery stores, and gas stations in the nearby towns. They also have a store located right on the property with a variety of foods and items just incase you forgot anything. We also enjoy going there year round to spend time with our family during our family reunion, and on the holidays! It's a spacious place to have larger gatherings for Thanksgiving and Christmas! We go there several times a year and have encourged our family and friends to stay there too! Steve and Holly are excellent hosts!!

“Perfect Mini Getaway with our Baby Girl” If I could rate this Cabin a 10 I would because we enjoyed every second spent at this Cabin which was super cozy with spectacular and breathtaking views, especially from the loft area where we slept with our baby girl. On our stay we would wake up in the morning and make coffee then we would watch a cartoon that was actually provided by the owner along with two large baskets of Movies. We would relax and cuddle all day drinking teas also provided by the owners and doing absolutely nothing but watching movies. Take me back now!! this is truly a Gem that I am so glad I came across and decided to rent and we will for sure be back again with our baby girl during the summer time. I would also like to Thank Don for providing everything necessary for our stay with our baby like the highchair and crib and also for making the renting process so easy for us. Thanks to Les for leaving the door open for us once we arrived and trusting us before even meeting us with the Cabin and leaving it cozy and warm and Les's Wife Gayle for that finger licking oh so yummy coffee cake that we finished on our drive back home =) we want more!! Thank you thank you and thank you for everything!

“A wonderful house in a wonderful setting” My wife and I so enjoyed our time in the Stones' house on a lake. It is beautiful with all the needs any visitor could want. I enjoyed boating on the lake, seeing eagles and other creatures. The folk we encountered in the area were all friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the local church.
