“Sweet mountain cabin in a nice quiet location.” We rented this home for one of our summer get aways with our blended crew/family. Everyone had a fantastic experience. Its location is just outside of town in a very nice and peaceful area called Glenshire. The owner is very nice and accommodating. I would recommend this home and would rent it again- maybe when we go up to board and ski in winter.

“Our stay here was wonderful!” Our stay here was wonderful! The cabin is perfectly located, walking distance from the lake. The kitchen is well stocked and the cabin feels very cozy. The owners kept in touch throughout, even responded to our silly questions within minutes! The only down-side was that the second bathroom was difficult to get to, since in order to get to the basement you have to go outside (not something you want to do on a winter evening), and one of the bedrooms only had access through another bedroom (compromising privacy). There was more than ample space (huge living room) and plenty of bedrooms. We will definitely be coming back!

“Charming, Cozy, Romantic Getaway!” My husband and I loved our stay in Idyllwild. Boulder Creek Cottage was cozy and beautifully decorated. The home was very clean and was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. They even provided coffee, which we forgot to bring with us. The location was beautiful and private yet only 2 minutes to town. The large deck was perfect for relaxing; Bbq's and star gazing at night. I can tell that the owner, Larry really takes great pride in this beautiful cottage. He was also very wonderful to work with and answered all of my questions promptly. “Dreamy Little Getaway Spot - AND MOOSE!” I almost don't want to tell you how amazing this cabin is for fear that the next time I want to rent it, it won't be available! We ADORED our stay here. I initially rented it for an overnight retreat to celebrate a friend's upcoming wedding but decided that one day just wasn't enough and booked the second night for my family to come up and join us for a day out of the city. This place did NOT disappoint on any front. For the friend retreat, it was the PERFECT place to gather around the kitchen island/table eating, talking and laughing. The atmosphere and lovely rustic/modern decor were only matched in delightfulness by the cabin's owners who were more than willing to help us accommodate extra sleeping spaces & odd requests. They provided everything you could possibly need to have a great stay. There's a salt lick and watering bucket in the back yard and we saw several deer and even a baby moose that seemed completely unaware of the people staring at it 30 feet away. For the kids, the cabin was outfitted with a few board games (we discovered a new family favorite "in a pickle") and family friendly dvds (although there was no need for those for us...there was plenty to explore outside!). They loved building careful fires in the wood stove in the chilly evenings and were charmed by the loft and balcony. My only suggestion would be for a map of possible hiking trails in the neighboorhood. This is located in a cabin community so it was a little hard to know where to go for a walk in the woods where you wouldn't inadvertently bump into someone else's vacation. Although, it should be noted that EVERY person we talked to during our stay was kind and helpful and super friendly. I think they are also working on adding a fire pit area which would be ideal. I've already recommended it to a few friends and my kids have asked if we can go back soon. My kind of camping.

“Great cabin” I have stayed at East of Paradise with my family for the past three years and we absolutely love it. It's become our home away from home. The cabin is not big, but it is very well maintained and the set up is perfect for small families like mine. We used to stay at hotels before but nothing compares to keeping everyone all under the same roof and be able to cook homemade meals. My daughter loves to play in the backyard, particularly in the play house. My husband and I love relaxing in the hot tub out back. The beds here are both queen. I have back problems but I always sleep confortably in both of these beds. I do wish the homeowner would offer inflatable beds, or sofa beds for the little ones. The kitchen has all the utensils we need to cook meals. My husband and I love cooking and we always take the opportunity here to make a delicious meal whenever we go. We have everything we need there. The cabin is far away enough from the downtown area and all the traffic, but close enough to get to the stores, and the playgrounds within a few minutes. We highly recommend this cabin.

“Great time in Westwood” We had a wonderful time away, in this area. The home has the warm, nostalgic feel of home: modest and welcoming. Fishing 10 min away under a footbridge, or drive 20 min to the Feather River, where we pulled in gorgeous trout. The very best pizza ever is walking distance from the house, as is ice cream favorites in nearby Chester. Loved our time there & look forward to returning!

“A wonderful time with all if iur siblings in a beautiful setting” Our family was looking for a get-away for a long weekend, to spend together and enjoy each others company. We've list a brother and sister and wanted to just celebrate our family. The Roost was a perfect setting for that. We walked, played games around the dining room table, cookedesla together and listened to music all weekend. It was our "Big Chill" weekend. It was just what we had hoped for. Lots of room for all. Very comfortable furnishings all around. Beautifully decorated.

“It's a very cozy and nice place. Owner is very responsible and r” My friends and I stayed at Kristina's place for a nice summer weekend getaway! The cabin was very clean and perfect for the five of us! Bedrooms provide privacy and the yard outside is very nice for hanging out! We rode bikes, played frisbee and enjoyed the picnic table while grilling. Kristina even has an extensive DVD collection to watch. Bathroom was remodeled and very nice. This cabin is a great place for friends and family to gather while in Big Bear! The lake is a very simple bike ride away. The house was close enough to town and easy to get to. We would definately come back again :)

“A great cabin experience” We found The Casita Bonita on line and were thrilled with our experience. The cabin was a cabin/cabin and just what we were looking for. The cabin is very neat and clean. We felt like were at home the minute we walked in the front door. The location was ideal for us. You are less than 20 minutes from Flagstaff, 30 minutes from Sedona and less than 2 hours to Phoenix. The cabin met and exceeded our expectation in every way.

“Awesome house” We enjoyed the views in the evening. GREAT location centrally located to visit Yosemite, Kings Canyon, or Sequoia National Park. Good roads with scenic views. Liza responds to any questions quickly and the Caretaker Steve is a new west coast brother. He even called me a few days in advance to let me know the house would be available if I wanted to check in earlier in the day so we could have extra time to sightsee and he told me what roads to travel for the best views on the way in. it's not often you get a call offering to let you check in early. In a word awesome place!!!

“Awesome!” What an absolute positive surprise! We visited with 4 adults and 2 young children..everybody had a great time..the playhouse and play loft is great for the kids..the views from the deck accompanied by the birds is grand..the kitchen is great and so well stocked..all kinds of herbs, oils etc..never seen anything like that before in a rental..the whole house is stocked like that! Just wow! We were also impressed with the local supermarket carrying superb meat and other fresh produce..anyway a really awesome rental in Idyllwild we hope to return to many more times

“The perfect get away!” We were looking for a place to escape the city and found this perfect cabin in Lake arrowhead. So many places are either very modern (not much of a country feel) or too cabin like (very uncomfortable). This cabin is the best of both worlds. It has all the comforts and space you would want and has an authentic cabin feel to it. Although it is so conveniently located by the village, when you are inside you feel miles away from everything. The bedrooms are a nice size so a whole family can feel they have room without being cramped. Great fireplace, Tv's and cozy furniture to snuggle up with a good book or chat with friends. The area is great with a lot to do. There are nice walks, the lake, boating and heaps of down time. You can easily walk for a bite to eat, get groceries, or just look around a local store. A short drive away is a movie theater and even more stores and restaurants. So look no further, this is the best you will find. I would highly recommend it.
